Inktober 31st We all have a Mask we hide or thrive behind.
"Maaaaaan, the [girl] is non-stop!"
Today I went from work in the morning, to seeing a matinee of Hamilton, to eating a donut & chicken sandwich for dinner, to getting an IUD inserted this evening. As I lay here, waiting for my cramps to die down, I'm struck by how much my day feels like the hallmark of a millennial. Even more though, I'm giving pause to my own millennial identity. And I don't mean millennial in the pejorative way the media throws it around or the dismissive way older generations use it -- I feel pride in my identity as a millennial because it allows me and my peers the opportunity to experience so many multiplicities. We are a generation willing to try new things and live in reimagined ways. We have learned to juggle, to stretch, and to expand because we have to in order to persevere. We take on so much because we do not fear change. We believe in more than the current reality. In the words of Barack Obama, in his farewell address last night, "Let me tell you, this generation coming up — unselfish, altruistic, creative, patriotic — I’ve seen you in every corner of the country. You believe in a fair, and just, and inclusive America; you know that constant change has been America’s hallmark, that it’s not something to fear but something to embrace, you are willing to carry this hard work of democracy forward. You’ll soon outnumber any of us, and I believe as a result the future is in good hands."
ANGELS CAN ONLY BE REPRESENTED IN GESTURES BECAUSE THEY ELUDE PLACE. THEY’RE AMONG US. THEY FIRST APPEARED IN DREAMS AND THEN IN MATERNITY WARDS. OTHERS BROKE THROUGH FLESH IN MID-LIFE CRISES. THEY ARE DIVINE MUTANTS, WHOSE BODIES CRAWL UNDER, FLY OVER AND BREAK THROUGH THE GATEWAY TO THE MODERN SYMBOLIC ORDER. THEY STRUGGLE TO SAY I. SPACE AND TIME REFRACT ON THE SURFACE OF SKIN THAT EMITS, VIBRATES OUTSIDE OF THE WAVELENGTHS OF SEXUAL TRUTH. MULTIPLE IN FORM—HYPERTROPHY, HYPOSPADIA, TRUE AND PSEUDO, MALE AND FEMALE—AN ELSEWHERE TO THE ELSEWHERE.

If a mob was to encounter a faceshifter imitating their appearance the experience might be particularly dynamic for them, as the mob is familiar with seeing themself from the outside, but having that outside individual actually *be* them, not someone who merely appears like them.
