On Friday night I played a great house concert in Hamburg. Things were probably helped along by the shot of hazelnut vodka everyone had to have as they arrived!!! Last night was the last night!!! 10 concerts in 12 days is a lot for me!! I usually spread them out! But this tour of the easy side of Germany was organised completely by Lydia! And it was incredible!! Thank you so much! Last night in a little village outside Leipzig, called Jesewitz I played to a lovely crowd of people of all ages!!! There was s little gang of children playing and singing along! All they way up to those able to retire! The house was lived in by 3 families who almost a year ago moved in together to start a little community. I am sorry I was unable to stay long enough to learn more!! My last concert if this little tour in the east of Germany (and popping into Kraków!) was in Magdeburg on Wednesday. The place was packed with all kinds of folk the glühwein was flowing pretzels and cakes, and even each appart mention the house had decorated the hallways with art that had beef created for the event!! Apart from the slightly disturbing obsession with goats, it was a beautiful end to the tour!
