okay so what are autists doing who can’t stand headphones?? i usually wear airpods/apple earphones but wanted a more immersive listening experience for when i need to lock tf in and i was curious about trying noise cancelling too as so many other autistic people seem to really vibe with it. The headphones i ordered came today and i quickly remembered why headphones don’t work for me: my ears get SO unbearably itchy and i get genuinely nauseous from the pressure of the headband on top of my head (I tried playing about with it but couldn’t stand even light pressure). I have loops which I adore but because I’m constantly wearing in-ear devices my ears can get quite painful and i suspect i’ve given myself an ear infection or two over the years oop—
so do i resign myself to a life of ear infections?
or is there some other, better, cooler option i’m yet to unlock
