“River!” the Doctor grinned, happy to see she had gotten his invitation and made her way onto the TARDIS.  “I just found out about this curiously interesting Earth game and I needed someone to play it with,” he told her, “I believe it’s called Truth or Dare.  Earth has the most wonderful games.”

Verity weaved her way through the people on the sidewalk, walking as quickly as she could without drawing attention. She could feel someone’s eyes on her. A sigh of slight relief rolled off of her lips when she reached a relatively busy park. After looking both ways, she crossed the street. She sat on one of the few unoccupied benches; from here she could watch for any suspicious people. Her thumb ran over the engraved designs on the watch that she wore on a chain around her neck.

“Hello River,” the Doctor smiled as she stepped on board.  She had called him and he came as soon as he could.  “What are we up to this time?” he asked her.

“So, it’s a sex store?” the Doctor asked, “Humans come up with the oddest ideas, but I suppose we can check it out.”

“River, don’t be TOTALLY angry with me but---” the doctor starts, trying to tread carefully both with his words and around the console, hand in his hair scratching it. “I may have left some ionic crystals laying around the TARDIS, perhaps a bit too close to the room--- what I’m saying is that they’ve gone and I’m pretty sure I know who’s got to them.”

"I have to," Ward replied, a bag in each hand. "I just can’t stay here, not when I use to be close to you all. Besides, Coulson already confirmed the transfer.”

"Do what?" Ward asked slowly, turning around to look at her with a frown.
