I N D U S T R I A L My work is never boring and the coolest thing about it is meeting new people and getting to learn about different industries. Growing up, I wanted to be a journalist and went to one of the top J-Schools in the country but following my gut, switched my studies to Communications and Digital Media. Guess what? I'm still sort of a journalist. Website design is more than sitting behind a computer and coding. It also involves getting to know your clients, their staff and customers to build a website that both meets their customer needs and tells their story. Last week I got to hang out with Johnny. Such a kind and friendly guy operating these monster machines. I learned about safety, got to document some welding and see the Piranha in action. MLK once said that the world needed more creatively maladjusted people. Everything about our fragmented society makes it harder and harder to hold on to imagination and the creative spirit. Linear and concrete methods of learning are more common and valued than non-linear and abstract methods. Yet, we push on towards progress hoping the world will hear us. Creatives, no matter the craft are the nemesis to fragmentation and specialization. Art movements have always been significant to the awareness of media, innovations and its effects on society.
