Little Together, 2025
Otherworldly costumes and videos embrace the terms "creature" and "freak" as a playful and unapologetic statement, using exaggerated forms and edits to challenge the boundaries of the body and societal norms, and as a way to explore my evolving understanding of gender and identity.
I aim for a whimsical and deranged aesthetic, blending playful and unsettling elements through exaggerated forms, layered textures, and patterns. The intentional imperfections celebrate raw self-expression and challenge the things we push away to feel secure. The costumes are more than just objects; they are essential characters that come to life in my moving images, allowing the presentation to evolve freely and intuitively as I edit. Ultimately, each piece embodies a part of me, reflecting my imagination and the self while celebrating a joyful, messy, and authentic freedom of expression – a self portrait.
