I have a very important announcement to make. I would like everyone to know that my VIP page is now no longer about Mary Kay. I am no longer associated with the MLM company and I am no longer an Independent Beauty Consultant. The "Independent" part of that title is ironic because I was never actually allowed to do what I want. It was never "my own" business. I trusted that this MLM was a little better than the typical pyramid scheming nightmare-ish hell out there. I was indeed wrong. But I am stubborn and I always prefer to learn things on my own even it it means learning the hard way. I am ready to expose this nightmare that has been my life for the last 72 hours. I waited 3 weeks to have my debut/launch party here on facebook. I did not join to make money but to get products I enjoy at a discounted rate. From the beginning it seems all fine and dandy. I thought I had discovered a new friend in my new consultant/recruiter but just like any other MLM nightmare I was only a number, a seller, a profit for her. I have always thrived on human connection but sadly this company has brought out the worst in the individuals I thought were honest and true. I am not surprised as it is a MLM and a nasty one at that but I am still disappointed because these people are taught how to be master manipulators which I am not at all okay with. Please watch this video that will explain the actual truths about this company and similar businesses like it. I brought at least 20 customers to this consultant/recruiter and because I decided to leave the company I am now dead to her. Tell me do these people at Mary Kay actually care about their customers? Nope it is an MLM. I am younger than most of the consultant I worked alongside and they all treated me like an imbecile. Saying "Oh Honey, you have too much on your plate to do this that is why it didn't work for you. Oh this isn't an MLM it is direct sales."Let me put it this way, after my successful and very fun launch party, I made half the "sales" that they expected of me. But when my customers gave me their card info I found out that in order to give them their orders I had to pay at least 50$ out of pocket, and have everything shipped to ME. Then I had to pay 4-5$ for the bags to put the product in. Then after all that, I was still maybe 40-50$ richer in product. I was told to hang onto the card info of those customers and not process the orders until I sold almost 700$ in sales (which is totally different from what I was told in the beginning when I signed up). I was told it was okay if I couldn't tell my customers when they would receive what they purchased...in a month? How is that fair? How is that right? Oh because it is an MLM and honestly ladies and gentlemen, Mark Kay is one of the worst offenders. Please watch this video. The truth is all there.
