How College Works (Chapter 1)
How does college work? Chambliss and Takacs set out to discover this question by creating, implementing, researching, and tracking undergraduate students and what made the largest impacts on their higher education experiences. This expanded past just undergraduate students and included alumni that they had been studying for several years.
I think in order to be effective it is important to understand the concept that this booking is getting across. College is an intricate part of many people's lives and how it works may be different for every individual. There are significant and defining moments in the collegiate experience that relegate the holistic view of the college student.
I will say one thing though, this first chapter was really dry. It was not easy to keep my attention throughout it and maybe it was because it seemed heavily focused on the methodology of how they conducted their research, but it was not engaging for me to read. TBC.
