I’m suppose to turn in an individualized development plan as a part of the MST program and then meet with our, well effectively career counselor. Tomorrow morning. I have literally filled out my name and wrote half of a sentence.

MSTP Retreat Conclusions
1. My big sib is awesome 2. It will be probably almost 2 decades before I start earning a doctor's income. 3. MudPhud students at my school epitomizes "work hard, play hard" and know how to party. Including the Catholic dude who was really chill with me calling him the Catholic dude when I was drunk. 4. MSTP is a frat. Our program director is frat president. 5. People in my year are interesting and I can't see any of them being gunners. 6. Did some hard core thinking about what I want out of the program and what projects to pursue. 7. Connected with a bunch of really helpful people. 8. Learned the difference between Sonoma Valley wines and Napa Valley wines.
Home from retreat
Really glad that I’m not constantly surrounded by people and have to be on guard about how I come off and pay attention to detail and make new friends. That is absolutely exhausting.
Also really sad that retreat is over because it was really fun and the people are so friendly and I did have a ton of fun and learned a ton of info.

MSTP retreat is basically a frat party. I have never been so drunk my whole entire life. they are hard on the m1s like me. Also I am sure I hugged half the MSTP in the program by now.

getting drunk with your tiny class of 12 people can be a mortifying experience. And oh so fun.

After giving me hell in undergrad, I think that the science gods are smiling on me. Because the technique tentatively worked. Yay.
