What is your character’s name? Does the character have a nickname?

Full Name: Roxanne Adrianna-Lucille Baker

Nicknames: Rox, Roxie, Blondie.  Her grandmother used to call her Anne and Annie but she hates being called by those names. 

What is your character’s hair color? Eye color? What kind of distinguishing facial features does your character have? Does your character have a birthmark? Where is it? What about scars? How did he get them?

Roxie very blonde to the point that some people may assume that it is bleached, when in fact it’s the combination of her natural colour and all of her time spent out in the sun. 

In the town of Senoia, Georgia, Roxanne is a blue eyed, blonde haired angel. 

Rox doesn’t have any one particular distinguishing features other than her overall essence. 

She does have a wine spot on her left hip, however the shape is indiscernible. 

She has various minor scars from years of childhood play but nothing major/severe. 

Describe your characters family. Any brothers or sisters? If so, what’s there relationship like? Are they still in contact? Describe their parents or guardians if any. How were they treated growing up? What’s their relationship with their family now?

The entire Baker family as an odd relationship. She has two older siblings, Virginia and Avery. 

Roxie has always been closer to Ginny, despite their eight year age gap. She looks up to her and see’s her as a role model.  However, she’s always been a bit resentful of her due to her close relationship with their father. Her relationship with Avery is a bit more strained despite only being a few years apart in age. Most of their interactions consist of various sarcastic remarks and/or an argument taking place over little things. They are all still in contact; they live together. 

Both of her parents were truly kind people, the epitome of southern hospitality. 

Roxie was all but looked over by her father, who’s eyes seemed to be glued to Virginia. In turn though, she had all of her mama’s attention and affections. 

Her relationship with her family is strained, currently. While it’s not so much a surprise when it comes to Avery (and even Virginia), Roxanne has started to become snippy towards her mother. 

Describe your characters friends. If they are a more developed character, you could fill out some of these questions for them. How close are they to their friends? How did they meet?

Roxie has a lot of friends; she’s a very popular person at the highschool and is typically the apple of her classmates eye. She’s not particularly close to any of them but they amuse her, if nothing else.

 Her closest friend is Molly Worth. The two met in primary and have been inseparable ever since; they’ve been through everything together. Roxie sees Molly as a sister and would go to great lengths to protect and make her happy. 

Is your character in a relationship? What’s her/his name, how did they meet, how close are they? Describe dates they have or how they spend time together.

Yes; she’s dating Landry Quick, resident troublemaker. It’s not a secret that the rest of the Baker family has ill-feelings towards the boy - feelings Roxanne used to share. However, his rebellious intentions draw her towards him. They met in school, both going into a conversation, expecting to come out with more ill feelings. 

Landry and Roxanne are hardly in love but they are close, in a certain sense. 

Their ‘dates’ typically consist of parking out in a field and laying in the bed of Roxie’s truck; what they do in said bed varies. When not on dates, the pair spend their time together causing trouble. 

Have they ever had their heart broken?

Yes and no. She’s had her heart broken but not by anybody who’s she’s cared for romantically. 

What is in your character’s refrigerator right now? On his bedroom floor? On his nightstand? In his garbage can?

This time of year the Baker’s keep an abundance of berries stored away anywhere they can. You’d mostly like see a lot of leftovers from Sunday potluck. 

Roxie tends to keep her room fairly tidy and things off of the floor. However, there is a growing pile of laundry growing in the corner of her room. 

On her nightstand you will find a lamp, an alarm, a hairbrush and various knick-knacks. She tends to keep her phone there when she sleeps as well. 

Her garbage can would mostly be filled with papers and perhaps a few candy wrappers. 

How does your character prefer to dress? Does this reflect on their personality?

Roxanne is fairly girly, opting to wear dresses and skirts when it’s acceptable. She also likes anything with pastels or bright colours - she is her mothers daughter. Plus, she was raised to be the perfect southern belle. Even so, it’s not uncommon to find her in jeans, shorts, or dark colours. She just prefers the first. 

I think so, for the most part. 

How would someone who knows your character describe them?

It would depend entirely on who you were speaking to. 

How would your character describe themselves?

She would describe herself a well-rounded person, though she’s not quite. 

What is your character’s house like? How is it decorated?

The Baker home is exactly how you would expect from a southern home. It’s large, large enough to hold all of the Baker’s plus Molly Worth, who has her own room in the house. It’s full of charm and characters, if a bit outdated. 

What is your characters bed/bedroom look like? Is it messy or perfectly tidy or somewhere in between?

Roxie’s room is mostly clean, though it’s nowhere near perfect - though it’s not exactly messy either. It’s somewhere in between. 

Age? Do they act this age?

Eighteen; it depends on who she is interacting with. She can be fairly mature when she needs to be, however, she typically acts like the eighteen year old that she is. 

Any nicknames? Do they like being called this?

Yes. She has been called Roxie, Rox, Princess, Anne/Annie and Blondie, as well as various other things. 

She’s fine with most of them with the exception of Anne/Annie. 

Where do they live? How long have they lived here? Describe this place as well as you can. What are the people there like?

Rox lives in her Senoia, Georgia in her childhood home. She’s lived there all of her life. It’s a bit outdated in some aspects (namely the kitchen and bathrooms) but it’s cozy and holds a lot of memories for the entire family. 

It depends on which people. 

Health (is this person usually sick? or very resilient?)

Roxie typically stays fairly healthy, although she does have a yearly tradition of comin’ down with pneumonia. 

Is your character more athletic or intellectual or artistic, or something different all together?

Out of the given traits, she is more athletic than anything. She’s a very active person and is far from lazy. This said, she is in no way unintelligent and is thriving in school with no classes ranking lower than a high B. 

She can be artistic in somethings, namely the athletic things she does. She has taken gymnastics and dacnce since a young age (and still does it recreationally on her own time). 

How do they feel about religion or other issues that affect them or their communities?

Roxanne absolutely believes in God and is very devoted to her faith, though she doesn’t exactly like a religious lifestyle. She believes that as long as she shows up for church on Sunday and is -overall- a good person, she’ll get to Heaven. 

As for community wise, she tries to avoid entering those affairs unless she is directly affected by them. 

Who is someone that your character confides in?

That would be Molly Worth. She is her best friend and Roxie tells her absolutely everything. 

Does your character have a secret? Do they keep it well hidden or do they reveal it on occasion? To whom?

Roxie doesn’t have a secret, not really. She’s resentful towards her sister but it’s nothing that she purposefully tries to hide. She just keeps it inside. 

It’s sometimes come out in disagreements with Roxie playing the “daddy didn’t love me” card but overall she keeps it hidden. 

The only person she’s actually told is Molly. 

Who does your character care about most?

Besides for herself? Molly. Of course, if anything happened to her family she would be besides herself but Molly is everything to her. 

Any children? If so, what ages? Describe them.

She considers her animals children but no, she doesn’t have any. 

Would your character kill to protect anyone? Who? Why?

No. She may pick fights with someone but she wouldn’t go as far as to physically hurt someone, not to such an extent. 

Mainly because she was taught that murder is a sin. It’s one of the ten commandments for a reason, ain’t it? 

Who or what would your character die for?

Beside for her pride? Anyone in her family, including Molly. 

Does your character drink/smoke/or do drugs? How do they feel about this? How do others feel about this?

Roxie does all of these things, mainly drinking. If you would have told her this a few years ago, she would’ve laughed at your poor soul. 

Her mama and Virginia don’t like it; why would they? But her mama isn’t going to stop her so it’s mostly on Virginia to take action. She’s not sure how Avery feels but she reckons that he doesn’t care. 

Favorites? Food, color, etc.

Rox’s favourite food is her mama’s shepherd’s pie. She would kill for that stuff. Her favourite sweet is pecan pie, it reminds her of the holidays. 

Her favourite colour is coral/salmon. It makes her think of summer. 

Her favoruite song is Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd. It’s the epitomy of southern life. 

What kind of music do they listen to?

Country, all the way. She was raised on it. She’s started exploring other genres but it’ll always be her favourite. She really loves bluegrass, as well. 

Describe their hobbies. Are they a musician, an athlete, what do they like to do?

Roxanne knows how to play guitar but it’s not her passion - though when she wants to be alone or is upset, it’s typically what she resorts to doing. That, or horseback ridin’. She feels at home when she’s out gallivanting in the nearby fields. She feels peaceful there. 

Another hobby is gymnastics and dance, though it’s not exactly common knowledge that she does it and it’s something that she keeps to herself. 

Describe their personality.

Roxie is an extremely outgoing person and will talk to almost anyone but she can - and will - be extremely judgmental until she gets to know them or that person has proven worthy to not be judged. That said, she feels bad when people are excluded and will often work to include people who are left out. She can mean sometimes but typically it’s out of defense. 

Introvert or Extrovert?

Extrovert. Completely. She’d much rather be in crowd than alone. 

Social or a bit socially awkward? How do they feel in social situations?

She’s very sociable. She’s very calm and empowered in social settings. 

How do they react to medical treatments/doctors?

She doesn’t like them and will try to get out of them if at all possibly but once started she’s okay. 

Fears?

Not being good enough; this stems from her father overlooking her. She did everything she could to gain his attention but it never seemed to matter. 

She also really hates the idea of being replaced in anyway. 

Anxiety, paranoia, or any mental health issues?

No. 

What does your character dream of at night? If they ever have nightmares, what are they about?

Roxie has strange dreams that she rarely rememebers when she wakes up. When she does, she doesn’t talk about them because they are so odd. 

She doesn’t really have nightmares but when she does they’re typically about her father or drowning. 

Has your character ever been depressed? Why?

She’s been deeply sad/hurt before, but never depressed. 

Give a backstory. Why does your character act the way they do? Does this backstory affect that?

Roxanne was completely dotted upon since the day she was born, perhaps even before that. She was always her mama’s Sugar Foot. As a child she was the perfect little lady, raised to be the epitome of a southern belle. But although she held her mama’s attention, her father didn’t ever truly take notice of her; he was too far gone with Virginia. Shortly before her daddy’s death, she started acting out in hopes of getting his attention. Even with him gone, she continues acting out; perhaps because he believes that he’s looking down on them and she wants him to finally take notice of her. 

Her backstory absolutely affects her current disposition. 

How does your character react to loss? Have they ever lost anyone close?

She lost her daddy not too long ago and she was upset, mostly because she never did get her chance to be his shinning star. She misses him yet it’s hard to truly regret something that happened to someone who you never really bonded too. 

Had it been her mama who had gone, however, she woulda been devastated. 

She’s lost animals before though and is deeply affected by there death. She sees them as her babies. 

What are some flaws/weaknesses your character has?

She’s a bit too certain of herself and has seemed to lost most of the filter she had before her daddy died. She’s pretty arrogant as well; feeling as though she deserves only the best of things in her life. 

What are some good qualities about your character?

She can be a genuinely welcoming person and very sweet when she wants to be. She is also typically very prim and proper (as long as she’s sober or not upset). 

What are some of your character’s greatest achievements?

There are a few things. She’s always been a good student and dedicated to school (though not so much recently). She’s also highly skilled in her gymnastics and dance, but again, that’s not something she flaunts, unlike some other things. 

She also has an uncanny ability to comprehend what her animals want/need. She adores her pets. 

What makes your character smile? Laugh?

Doing well in things. She takes pride in bein’ accomplished. She thoroughly enjoys company as well. 

What makes your character sad? Cry?

Losing an animal or failing at something. She takes things very personally. 

Describe an antagonist, if any, your character has? What are they like?

She doesn’t exactly have an antagonist in her life, though she certainly disagrees with a fair amount of people. 

Does your character have any disabilities/obstacles? Does your character overcome them? How?

She doesn’t have any disabilities but her mainly obstacle is most likely herself and her doubting. However, when she applies herself and is determined, she can accomplish what she wants to and more. 

Is there something they are likely to die from? What?

At the moment? No. 

Do they believe in the paranormal? Life after death?

Yes and no. She believes in the Kingdom of Heaven and guardian angels but she’s not sure if she believes in demons or ghosts, though the idea that they exists terrifies her. 

If your character went through something that left them completely disabled, how would they react?

It would most likely depend on what it was - however, she would be angry more than anything.  

What makes your character angry/upset? Where do they go when they are angry? Who do they confide in?

Being told what to do or that she’s not good enough/pretty enough/smart enough/etc. She strives to be the best in everything she does and likes to defy and prove people wrong. 

How does your character feel about violence?
