            Hope smiled a little as she sat on the floor and opened up the fake tree. They could have easily gotten a real one, but this way there was no extra clean-up in the end. Instead, they could put it away and take it out next year--they wouldn’t have to deal with trying to DISPOSE of it. Pulling out the bottom piece, she glanced up at Landon.

Hope couldn’t help but SMIRK a little at her boyfriend as he played his guitar and she painted a bit. They had both been trying to get back into their old hobbies, and honestly? They had needed this way more than they had wanted to admit. At the same time, him practicing while she painted him practicing? Wasn’t exactly making her want to keep painting: he was cute as Hell. Not that they were joined at the hip these days--they were both taking different classes as they tried to figure out what it was that they wanted to do now that they could eventually put this place in their rearview mirrors.
