SNOW! 🏔️❄️☃️ Stunning wintery day up on the tops of Mt Robert in Nelson Lakes today, so bloody wonderful. From rocky trail to a delicate smattering of snow to Narnia-esque trees to ankle deep snow.. to two kilometres of thigh deep snow where each step would sink in. (Safely!). 10 kilometres of the Mt Robert circuit today had us overlooking Lake Rotoiti and feeling darn grateful for this magical place we live. Snacks were had every hour. And when we retreated downwards? Coffee at the local shop, log fire at the cabin, and a big dark warming beer.
