MTLFW: !Nu.I's Fringe with beneFITS!
On the last day of Montreal's 21st edition of Fashion Week, designer Vickie Joseph invited us media folks along with other fashion insiders and aficionados for the unveiling of her latest !Nu.I collection during a glamourous cocktail.
After turning heads at its first appearance last spring, the designer astonished once again with a racy collection themed "Lady Savage".
The collection was without a doubt my favorite of the week. What drew me to it were the Afrocentric & Americana elements, from the fringes to the Navajo prints that I'm really into nowadays: "My choice of patterns and shades of color for this collection was inspired by the superb decor with Moroccan accents of a hotel I stayed in recently", explains Vickie, who combined bold floral and animal designs to saturated electric blue and vivid pink. And the sweet combo of leopard and neon coral was beyond proper! I was captivated by it!!
Joseph's vision and visual concept were overseen by fellow Montreal In Fashion blogger and good friend Candice Pantin, who can now add Art Director to her fabulous resume!
Oh, and a special shout out to the mastermind behind the gorgeous tasseled earrings and collar necklaces jewels, my good friend Myrtho Clermont for OUI EHFAR!!
Without a doubt, those who want to distinguish themselves will be thrilled with this audacious !Nu.I by Vickie collection.
