soohwa is a aware that technically he shouldn’t be bringing his crup to the astronomy tower. even if he’s one of the head students and astronomy club member, it doesn’t give him the authority to bring pets into the astronomy tower whenever he feels like. he’s very aware of this but then there’s also the other side of the coin that well, if no one knows about this then it’s fine. soohwa is very careful with the days and time that he picks to bring cookie along, because the last thing he needs is to use his own authority as the head student to get himself out of trouble. it wasn’t like that that his parents raised him, not that it’d stop him from doing that if it really came to it, but he’d like to avoid that possibility still.

besides, cookie is always very well behaved anyway, spends most of the time napping on soohwa’s lap or snacking on something that soohwa brought for him really. it was just that this was soohwa’s time to really relax, to take away from his shoulders a little the responsibility of being a ta and the head student, the expectations of his parents and just enjoy what he actually enjoys instead of just it being something that he learned how to enjoy like it was with pretty much everything else. and soohwa could definitely only fully relax with his crup by his side, the only one who loves him no matter if he fails or not, the only source of affection and partnership that he has had in a long while. that’s why soohwa loves cookie so much, that’s why he treasures the little thing so much. 

“come on, buddy.” soohwa calls cookie when everything is settled down, gesturing to his lap where the crup settles himself in nicely after a few sniffs, a few wiggles of his tails and a few licks on his hand. the affectionate gesture always makes soohwa all kinds of soft and it shows in how all of his demeanor changes and soohwa coos, all fond and soft, at his crup, scratching just under his chin. “such a good baby you are. the best. so cute, my little— ”

kangdae gasped as he watched the ball be perfectly received by their libero, he had assumed that it would landed on the court unbothered, but to see xueyu stop it, it was shocking to the middle blocker.

not that he wasn’t as impressed by quidditch but with a muggle sport like volleyball it’s amazing that someone could be so fast without magic. and xueyu seemed to always do it with so much effort and hardwork.

“meng! dude, that was sick,” kangdae grinned, holding his hands up for the younger man to high five him. 

“ how can you move so fast? and you just came out of nowhere, that’s insane.” his voice animated as his body, as the high of playing finally calmed him down. 

Miso is a weird man, his way of working just does not completely make sense. He’s quite smart, having achieved some of the hardest spells there are to achieve, and he has fought all kinds of magical creatures and won. Truly he is special, but just because he’s smart doesn't mean he isn’t an idiot. Miso does idiot things, way more than one can count. For example like eating plants he doesn’t know, fighting trolls while hurt, and trying to turn a broom into candy so he can eat it. So beside Miso being smart, he’s also not the smartest, and this means? That even if Miso is an expert at hard spells he sometimes struggles with the most easiest ones. 

And hence after Miso had carefully carved a pumpkin with his desired design, when he came to the part of making it “alive” and able to talk? He was struggling like hell. In a tired way he grabbed someone’s shoulder and sighed “please, help me make this stupid pumpkin to talk, I want a talking pumpkin like others too”

Kevin couldn’t remember when it happened or how, but at some point when playing online together with the other, it had been revealed that they were both currently in attendance at Mokseong University. Then the bright idea came to mind— what better time to meet up in real life than at Mokseong’s Halloween party!

Aaaand send. With a smug grin on his face, Kevin shut down his computer and headed out the door. He didn’t really know what to expect upon finally meeting the other in person— he’d never been one to pry to deeply into others’ personal lives— but they vibed pretty well online, and that was all that mattered to him. 

Once he’d made it down to the costume party, Kevin made a bee line for a drink. Since he didn’t know exactly how long it would be until the other arrived, Kevin figured it wouldn’t hurt to indulge in a little bit of butter beer pre-gaming while he waited. Although it wasn’t until he’d began to chug that another sudden thought came to mind, nearly causing him to spit out his drink.

SHE’S NO STRANGER TO LOVE. friday is well versed, wears it like second skin—being loved, loving someone. she prides herself on knowing the difference. on being blessed enough to have felt it—that is, loved, unconditionally placed on the top of somebody’s list and cherished as one is supposed to be when bore onto the world. 

this, however, wasn’t love.

still, it was—for someone aching to be seen and felt and touched and adored—passable. 

“so,” in the interest of being a good girlfriend (it really is kind of half-assed isn’t it? dating someone you just met, it isn’t like you at all), isn’t it better to get to know him? “xueyu—” friday tries her best to suppress any urge to cringe. definitely butchered the pronunciation on that.

relatively simple question isn’t it? though i guess, when it’s posed from the mouth of someone whose hand you’re currently holding and dating (asking as if she knows absolutely nothing about you)—it could be a bit weird. okay, more than a bit.

“’cuz, i know this bingsu place in town that’s like the bomb—we could go!” 

honestly, hyewon wonders what she’s doing here on the ferris wheel. the idea of getting on the ferris wheel with her brother or her friends sounds fun, but she thinks that maybe participating in this “speed dating” event that was really meant to just be a bonding activity was a bad idea. or it could be great — she hasn’t actually had a turn yet, so she isn’t sure how she feels about it. 

swallowing, she takes a step forward until she’s the second one in line. then the person in front of her is gone, and she’s the next one. she wonders to herself if this attempt at getting to know more people is her way of making up for the fact that her twin seems to draw people to him at a magnetic rate. even back in hogwarts, it had always been a point of insecurity for her. jaewon had always had so many friends, and most of his friends simply knew her as “jacob’s sister” or “twin.” the people who got to know her as esther kim were far rarer. the fact that her default expression is rather blank probably doesn’t help her case, either.
