jieun is this close to giving up. sheâs spent way too long looking for her earring at this point, definitely way longer than the little thing is even worth. itâs a nice earring though, so finding it again would be nice, but at this point, she doubts sheâll ever see it again.Â
itâs a small, insignificant thing in the grand scheme of her life, losing an earring, but sheâd be lying if she said losing it hadnât ruined her night. the party was already bad â she has no idea why she had even agreed to go in the first place â but then, just as she had been about to leave, she had noticed one of her ears feeling suspiciously empty. and sure enough, her earring was gone, having sent her on what felt like a wild goose chase across the party locales for that one, tiny little thing.Â
but itâs no luck. sighing, she resigns herself to never seeing it again. sheâs tired of this party anyway, has been tired of it for quite a while, and wouldâve left already if it hadnât been for that stupid, little earring.Â
whatever. sheâs out of here. she turns to leave, but just as sheâs about to (because of course this happens with the luck sheâs having today), she stumbles and falls into someone, nearly knocking them over in the process, but their grip on her is whatâs keeping them both from falling over.
âhey. watch it, will you?â her tone is accusing, despite this probably being her own fault. actually, it most definitely is â sheâs the one who tripped, after all. but when she conveniently falls into a man she can pin the blame on, sheâs not about to apologize. she almost feels bad â the guy is cute, and itâs not like he did anything wrong but she is, as has already been established, annoyed.Â
âlet me go. iâm trying to leave.âÂ
