As an aspiring graphic designer and illustration enthusiast beginning my career in the 70s I enjoyed my share of fantasy books and was a fast fan of Frazetta’s paintings of larger than life villains, heroes, and scantily clad vixens. Plagued with health issues late in life Frazetta passed away in 2010, but a long list of artists still name him as an influence in their work. In 2015 Mr Trixter painted this tribute in the UTI Crew lot behind the American Hotel in the Los Angeles Arts District. UTI (most often associated with the words Under The Influence), formed in 1986 and now the crew of approximately 200 members includes some of the most talented and prolific artists today. Learning his craft and the etiquette of graffiti long before there were YouTube videos to watch and cans with interchangeable tips Trixter perfected his skills completing hundreds of pieces in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York and now works all over the world. @UTIcrew @MrTrixter @frazettagirls @scenesfromthesidewalk
