Book 52/52. Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier: 🌟🌟🌟🌟.5/5 Last night I dreamt of Manderley again....... This book follows our protagonist whose name we never learn as she goes from being a paid companion to a bitter old lady to the wife of widower Maxim De Winter. With the marriage to Mr. de Winter our protagonist is leaves Monte Carlo to Maxim's isolated Cornish estate, Manderley. Once at Manderly our protagonist finds that she may be in over her head. What does she really know about her new husband? And can she live up to the grandness of the former Mrs. de Winter who spirits seems to have never left Manderley. This is a story about identity and finding once place. I loved this story, the beginning was a bit slow for me but it picked up very quickly. The twist I did not see coming at all, and it had me shook. I am definitely going to be reading more form Daphne Du Maurier. Next will be Jamaica Inn. #daphnedumaurier #classic #classicreads #rebecca #bookreview #manderley #mrsdewinter https://www.instagram.com/p/BzzLgQ9glV2/?igshid=o1hmcamr2mil
