Does your character have any nicknames?: Juliette Elizabeth Rhee- Juliette means youthful, Elizabeth means oath of God, and her surename Rhee means from a place. She was named by her birth mother and her adoptive accepted it. She is often called Jett though because she was very quick as a kid.

Describe your characterâs personality.: Jett is social and upbeat for the most part, but she bottles up the things that bother her the most. She loves cracking jokes and making things a competition. Sheâs hard headed and stubborn to a fault, but also a determined hard worker otherwise. Jett is a loyal friend though, and willing to be a shoulder to lean on when need be. The girl has her reckless side as well. Looking for love in all the wrong places.
What is your character like in relationships? Are they clingy? Faithful or unfaithful? Do they jump from one relationship to the other?: Jett is loyal though has a fear of abandonment for sure. Sheâs not overly clingy but likes to keep them close. Certainly faithful, and she does get a bit flighty in her relationships depending.
What kind of things does your character like? What do they dislike?: Jett loves tacos, sunny summer mornings, star wars, horror movies and comedies, obsessing over her favorite celebrities, watching movies, coloring in adult coloring books, sports, camping, and swimming. Some dislikes are the color yellow, a cheater meaning in a relationship, todayâs pop music because itâs too upbeat in her opinion, has a fear of fire and is triggered by blood meaning she would pass out at the sight, early mornings, and when she runs out of coffee.
How does your character treat their friends and family? How about strangers? Enemies?
What kind of people does your character surround themselves with? Why?: Â Jett left her family behind, but they werenât that close when she was at home. She treats her friends with respect and expects the same in return. As far as enemies go she can be snappy and push them away. She likes to keep the lesser at a arms length of course.
Where was your character born? Where have they lived since then? Where is the place that they call home?: Born in Tempe Arizona and lived there the first few months of her life. then moved to Chicago to live with her adoptive family, and then moved onto Montreal where she calls home.
Where does your character go when they are angry?: Her own apartment. Hides away, throws things, has her own pity party.
What is your characterâs biggest fear? Who have they told this to? Who would they never tell this to? Why?: Jett fears being found the most. She fears her family will find her and drag her home. She hasnât told a soul.
Does your character have a secret? If so, what is it?: Her past. Being that she was labeled a missing person and fled home. She probably still is a missing personâs case really.
What makes your character laugh out loud? What makes them angry?: Jett laughs pretty easily to be honest. Â She likes corny jokes and amusing conversations. Talking bad about her friends will get her mad fast.
Has your character ever been in love? Have they ever had a broken heart?: Never been in love but she has her heart broken by a boyfriend before when she was in high school.
Does your character have any flaws? What are they?: Jett keeps things bottled up and hidden well. She also always puts people above herself to the point she can get harmed.
Then dig deeper by asking more unconventional questions:
What is in your characters refrigerator right now? On their bedroom floor? On their nightstand?: Jett has a few take out boxes and condiments in her fridge, but not much else. She buys on the go on what she can afford. Her bedroom is neat minus a few tossed about cloths and books. Nightstand would hold her phone, a small lamp, and her planner that she needs to use more.
Your character is walking home in the dark when they hear some noises around the corner. What do they do? How would they react if they heard someone crying out for help?: Jett would cautiously investigate then try and help if she can. If it is above her means she would call the police right away and try to proved a distraction.
When your character thinks of their childhood kitchen, what smell do they associate with it? Sauerkraut? Oatmeal cookies? Paint? Why is that smell so resonant?: Jett recalls the smell of chocolate chip pancakes in the morning. Her fatherâs coffee, and the lemon floor cleaner her mom used.
Your character is doing intense spring cleaning. What is easy for them to throw out? What is difficult for them to part with? Why?: Jett doesnât hoard so most things go if it has no value. She likes a neat place really. She only hoards photographs that she takes with her polarid camera.
It is Saturday at noon. What is your character doing? Give details. If theyâre eating breakfast, what exactly do they eat? If theyâre stretching out in the backyard to sun, what kind of blanket or towel do they lie on?: Jett is only just getting up at noon to be honest. She would get up and take a quick shower. Laze around in only a baggy t-shirt with her wet hair down to curl naturally. She wonât straight it on a Saturday. She gets a cup of coffee with peppermint creamer if itâs the holidayâs, but caramel otherwise. She likes to browse instagram and facebook from her phone and make a post or two. Then she eventually gets dressed and texts some friends to go hang out.
While driving down the road, your character hits a dog and swerves off the road into a tree. Do they get out to see to the car first, or the animal?: Animal. Absolutely the animal.
Your character is in a relationship and they come home to find their partner in bed with another person. How do they react? How do they feel?: Jett would be pissed first. Throw something at him, scream and shout. then she would cry in her own place and hide out. She would be devastated.
What is one strong memory that has stuck with your character from childhood? Why is it so powerful and lasting?: The visits with her birth family since it was an open adoption. She got gifts and spent a good amount of time with them. They were a second family deep down.
