What type of layout is it?  Bathroom is in the back of the room.

How long have you been living there?  4 Days

How old is the place? Probably about 50 or 60

Do you have any roommates? Nope - though something bit her last night and she has an itchy red mark on her arm, which makes her think there may be a spider

Where’s your character’s favorite spot in the place? on the bed with the (likely very gross) bedspread pulled down so she can sit on the white sheets that she knows are clean.

Do they spend a lot of time there? Yes, but she also goes on walks and hangs out in bars when she’s not at work, looking for friends.

How long do they plan on staying there for?  She has no plans, but she’s paid through next week.

Talk about your character’s name. What is it, and how is it pronounced? What does it mean? Does your character have any nicknames?: Juliette Elizabeth Rhee- Juliette means youthful, Elizabeth means oath of God, and her surename Rhee means from a place. She was named by her birth mother and her adoptive accepted it. She is often called Jett though because she was very quick as a kid.

Describe your character’s personality.: Jett is social and upbeat for the most part, but she bottles up the things that bother her the most. She loves cracking jokes and making things a competition. She’s hard headed and stubborn to a fault, but also a determined hard worker otherwise. Jett is a loyal friend though, and willing to be a shoulder to lean on when need be. The girl has her reckless side as well. Looking for love in all the wrong places.

What is your character like in relationships? Are they clingy? Faithful or unfaithful? Do they jump from one relationship to the other?: Jett is loyal though has a fear of abandonment for sure. She’s not overly clingy but likes to keep them close. Certainly faithful, and she does get a bit flighty in her relationships depending.

What kind of things does your character like? What do they dislike?: Jett loves tacos, sunny summer mornings, star wars, horror movies and comedies, obsessing over her favorite celebrities, watching movies, coloring in adult coloring books, sports, camping, and swimming. Some dislikes are the color yellow, a cheater meaning in a relationship, today’s pop music because it’s too upbeat in her opinion, has a fear of fire and is triggered by blood meaning she would pass out at the sight, early mornings, and when she runs out of coffee.

How does your character treat their friends and family? How about strangers? Enemies?

What kind of people does your character surround themselves with? Why?:  Jett left her family behind, but they weren’t that close when she was at home. She treats her friends with respect and expects the same in return. As far as enemies go she can be snappy and push them away. She likes to keep the lesser at a arms length of course.

Where was your character born? Where have they lived since then? Where is the place that they call home?: Born in Tempe Arizona and lived there the first few months of her life. then moved to Chicago to live with her adoptive family, and then moved onto Montreal where she calls home.

Where does your character go when they are angry?: Her own apartment. Hides away, throws things, has her own pity party.

What is your character’s biggest fear? Who have they told this to? Who would they never tell this to? Why?: Jett fears being found the most. She fears her family will find her and drag her home. She hasn’t told a soul.

Does your character have a secret? If so, what is it?: Her past. Being that she was labeled a missing person and fled home. She probably still is a missing person’s case really.

What makes your character laugh out loud? What makes them angry?: Jett laughs pretty easily to be honest.  She likes corny jokes and amusing conversations. Talking bad about her friends will get her mad fast.

Has your character ever been in love? Have they ever had a broken heart?: Never been in love but she has her heart broken by a boyfriend before when she was in high school.

Does your character have any flaws? What are they?: Jett keeps things bottled up and hidden well. She also always puts people above herself to the point she can get harmed.

Then dig deeper by asking more unconventional questions:

What is in your characters refrigerator right now? On their bedroom floor? On their nightstand?: Jett has a few take out boxes and condiments in her fridge, but not much else. She buys on the go on what she can afford. Her bedroom is neat minus a few tossed about cloths and books. Nightstand would hold her phone, a small lamp, and her planner that she needs to use more.

Your character is walking home in the dark when they hear some noises around the corner. What do they do? How would they react if they heard someone crying out for help?: Jett would cautiously investigate then try and help if she can. If it is above her means she would call the police right away and try to proved a distraction.

When your character thinks of their childhood kitchen, what smell do they associate with it? Sauerkraut? Oatmeal cookies? Paint? Why is that smell so resonant?: Jett recalls the smell of chocolate chip pancakes in the morning. Her father’s coffee, and the lemon floor cleaner her mom used.

Your character is doing intense spring cleaning. What is easy for them to throw out? What is difficult for them to part with? Why?: Jett doesn’t hoard so most things go if it has no value. She likes a neat place really. She only hoards photographs that she takes with her polarid camera.

It is Saturday at noon. What is your character doing? Give details. If they’re eating breakfast, what exactly do they eat? If they’re stretching out in the backyard to sun, what kind of blanket or towel do they lie on?: Jett is only just getting up at noon to be honest. She would get up and take a quick shower. Laze around in only a baggy t-shirt with her wet hair down to curl naturally. She won’t straight it on a Saturday. She gets a cup of coffee with peppermint creamer if it’s the holiday’s, but caramel otherwise. She likes to browse instagram and facebook from her phone and make a post or two. Then she eventually gets dressed and texts some friends to go hang out.

While driving down the road, your character hits a dog and swerves off the road into a tree. Do they get out to see to the car first, or the animal?: Animal. Absolutely the animal.

Your character is in a relationship and they come home to find their partner in bed with another person. How do they react? How do they feel?: Jett would be pissed first. Throw something at him, scream and shout. then she would cry in her own place and hide out. She would be devastated.

Nixon, 49, was returning home after dropping her children off at school. Officers believe she hadn’t seen the driver swerve into the opposing lane until it was too late. Marks at the scene suggest she attempted to maneuver out of the way, but was unsuccessful. The car was struck on the driver’s side and Nixon was pronounced dead at the scene.

Nixon is survived by four children; both parents, Lucas and Annabelle; and two siblings, Logan and Coraline. Our reporterss have reached out to her estranged husband for comment but haven’t received a response.

“Anyone that knew her loved her. She was a piece of sunshine,” Logan Black, Nixon’s brother, commented this morning. Black and his wife recently moved to Montreal to be closer to his sister, and are devastated with the news. “We can’t believe she’s gone.”

A public service will be held on Monday at 10 AM followed by a private service for close friends and family. A lunch in her honor will be served at an unknown location. When we receive more details, we will update.

Almost fifty fucking years old, and that was it?

No one wanted to talk about how hard she worked to franchise her store, the impossible efforts she went to for her fashion line, or the countless hours she dedicated to her children? Bullshit. It was all bullshit. There’s nothing real there, nothing that tells people who she was.

Hey everyone! So we’ve decided to bring forth our fourth development task. This task is a writing task, think of it as a self para or a future look on your character. The topic is a little grim, but in my own experiences I learned I always had a head canon about this when writing my character. It doesn’t have to be canon, it can also be written in an AU sense of style. So you can go crazy, set down worst case scenarios or best case scenarios. You can even write multiple ones if you’re in the mood for it! It’s not mandatory, but it might be fun to explore that area a little. 

                                     DEATH OR REBIRTH?

In this writing task you will be figuring out your character’s death. Very grim, I know, but I know plenty of people who found inspiration from writing their muse’s end, also to find out what they have missed in their life which can eventually perhaps lead to more ideas for threads while alive. Like said above, this can be canon, but it can also be an AU. If you want to write your character dying in a violent act while you actually just want them to die comfortably in bed of old age, you totally can! It’s to test your writing skills. Writing your character’s death is a great boost for angsty writing. 

Don’t feel like writing your character’s death? You can also write about what happened after. Did they put someone in their will? Will they be remembered by a child or a relative? Will someone stumble upon their grave one day and think about what kind of life they would have lived? Go crazy with this one. There’s no time limit, so take all the time you’d like.

What kind of distinguishing facial features does your character have?// A few freckles across her nose.

Does your character have a birthmark? Where is it? What about scars? How did he get them?// An oval sharp mark on her left hip serves as her birthmark. Not scars really but she has some stretch marks on her stomach and upper thighs from her pregnancy.

Who are your character’s friends and family? Who does she surround herself with? Who are the people your character is closest to? Who does he wish he were closest to?// Lori is close to her parents mostly. She is still working on making friends, but she does try her best. She calls her parents though every weekend and is planning a trip to see them for Christmas if she can.

Where was your character born? Where has she lived since then? Where does she call home?// Seattle, Washington

Where does your character go when he’s angry?// To any of the nearest trails to go for a walk or sit among the trees. It helps clear her head and calm down.

What is her biggest fear? Who has she told this to? Who would she never tell this to? Why?// Failing basically. Failing at life, failing at work, failing as a friend and so on. She has confessed it to her mother, but doesn’t tell anyone else. You would have to be her best friend for her to admit feeling so insecure.

Does she have a secret?// Absolutely. Lori has not told anyone about the loss of her husband or the child she placed for adoption.

What makes your character laugh out loud?// Silly jokes like knock knock jokes or dirty jokes.

When has your character been in love? Had a broken heart?// John was the love of her life before his death, and she was completely crushed when he died in the car accident. She still hasn’t completely recovered honestly. Prior in her teen days you could call her few boyfriends as devastating losses in her teenage mind.

What is in your character’s refrigerator right now? On her bedroom floor? On her nightstand? In her garbage can?: The fridge at the moment has some asparagus, milk, butter, defrosting chicken she means to cook tonight, bagels, strawberry cream cheese, all kosher hot dogs, a few bottles of water, oranges, lettuce, fat free italian dressing, fat free blue cheese dressing, ketchup, strawberries, and left over tuna casserole. Bedroom floor would be a couple books, magazines, that mornings pajama’s, and a few pair of shoes. Night stand has a skinny lamp with a maroon shade, day planner, phone charging station and blue tooth speaker. The garbage would have the half a bagel she couldn’t finish before work, coffee grounds, Chinese take out boxes, and empty blueberry container. She doesn’t usually let it get too full.

Look at your character’s feet. Describe what you see there. Does he wear dress shoes, gym shoes, or none at all? Is he in socks that are ratty and full of holes? Or is he wearing a pair of blue and gold slippers knitted by his grandmother?: Lori wears a pair of classic black high heels for work, comfortable pastel pink flats for her casual off days or even the plain flip flops on warm days, and jogging shoes that are white and blue for when she knows she is going to the park or walking the trails. If she’s attending a party or outing with friends she has some wedge heels that are tan that she loves.

Her parents weren’t the best cooks, and if not that then paint and sawdust when her step dad liked to renovate.

Your character is doing intense spring cleaning. What is easy for her to throw out? What is difficult for her to part with? Why?// Old paperwork can go as well as old cloths. The hard things to part with are trinkets from trips or dolls from her childhood though she has far too many to be healthy.

If she’s stretching out in her backyard to sun, what kind of blanket or towel does she lie on?// Saturday’s are Lori’s catch up then relax days. She gets up at seven which is sleeping in to her. She has oatmeal with strawberry slices in and a cup of coffee in it. From there she gets dressed for the day and takes her coffee outside with her laptop to get some work done before the weekends over. After that she goes out to lunch with a friend but if not she goes to a favorite cafe downtown to eat. After some errand running and shopping, Lori goes home to watch some movies and relax. If she isn’t tired than that’s replaced with a quick change at home so she can go walk the trails at the local park. The night ends with a bubble bath and comfy pajamas at about midnight.

What is one strong memory that has stuck with your character from childhood? Why is it so powerful and lasting?// Splitting her time between her mom’s and dad’s. It was always so crazy to switch on the weekends or on some holidays. She remembers the constant back and forth.
