i was pretty much in tears even before bing bong's tragic death because emotions made so much sense now. they found a way to make explaining the things that go on in my head easier to understand so the whole time i was just tearing up like ughghhhhhhhhhhhh
and it was done in such a sensitive way, too. there were no âbadâ emotions, just unpleasant elements of all of them (even joy), but ultimately they were each important and necessary and valid. it was a movie that told its audience âyour emotions might not always make sense, or make you feel the way youâd like to, but your feelings are valid and you are not lesser for feeling the way you doâ. that is so important.Â
and it also showed its audience that theyâre not alone in having a jumble of conflicting feelings, and that sometimes even those older than them have moments like this too. it never discouraged uniqueness in an individualâs mind, but it did reassure us that we arenât isolated incidents of emotions. thatâs super important too!
it was just such an important movie and iâm all teary eyed over it again!
i want to fight pixar for making me think bingbong was going to be a bad guy or some shit then making me experience this. but no really. inside out was really really really amazing. i was enamoured by the entire film like holy shit
omg i know. i know. before i saw the movie, i went to the disney store with some friends and one of them bought a plush toy of bing bong that actually smelled like cotton candy, just because she liked his character design. we were talking about how we didnât really know what his role was, but all of us expected him to be revealed as a villain? all of us.Â
so, naturally, all of us were total wrecks when we did go see it and he was actually wonderful and heartbreaking. the entire movie was so personal and touching and as someone that spent a lot of her time daydreaming up characters as a kid that i no longer think about, it was also really devastating in a way too. but not in a way that actually hurt me, just in a way that made me really think about the power of thoughts and feelings. i just loved that movie so much (and i really...donât like frozen), so it was pixarâs perfect return to form, imo.
but you know. i think the reason why so many of us expected bing bong to be a bad guy was because pixar deliberately had this big, fluffy, pretty coloured character show up on the heels of toy story 3â˛s big, fluffy, pretty coloured antagonist. lotso bear was also a cherished childhood relic that was cast aside, and he became bitter and resentful and betrayed the heroes, while bing bong also was cast aside, and while it made him sad, he remained loyal to riley (and her emotions) and wanted whatâs best for her. but weâd learned before that thatâs not what to expect, so we anticipated Evil.
what iâm saying is that pixar deliberately pulled that on us to maximize heartbreak, in a beautifully effective move, and i should be outraged at them making me feel so many feelings, but iâm really just so in love with that movie that i accept being duped because of how wonderful it all way. :â)

like in case you didn't know anon, some parts of the fandom use jimlock not morlock. nice try though
yeah, jimlock is a pretty common name too. but either way anon has no right to tell anyone how to call their ship and should get back in their lane ^_^
how messed up would it be for tatiana maslany to mess with us by dressing as one clone but acting as another? e.g. prim & proper rachel saying "i effed it all up"
I get that feeling during cloneswaps whenever they break character and act like themselves, but even then itâs not as creepy as it could be because the costumeâs meant to look a little bit fake. If she was to go full on Rachel and then act like Alison or Helena it would be sooooo freaky!!!
