One of my favorite things about the 2004 Movie Version of Phantom is that at the very beginning, which is also the end. Raoul is in a wheelchair, all old and sad af. Meanwhile, Madame Giry, who is supposed to be at least 10-15 years older (possibly more like 20 years older) than he is, is looking no older than him and is obviously in much better shape than he is. Also, Christine, who is closer to Raoul's age, is just straight up dead, keeping in mind that Madame Giry essentially adopted Christine. I find this weird choice so satisfying, and I have no explanation why. Clearly, Madame Giry is a BAMF, and she is keeping it tight and the show should be about her imo.
