My single favorite bit of lore in any video game is that in Mad Rat Dead, a rhythm game about a dead lab rat with time-travel elements in its plot, when the protagonist Mad Rat demands to know how the final boss gave him the ability to turn back time, she goes “wait, rats can’t do that?
