Something I've noticed
The way Nathan stands up as soon as Kanduu walks in.
He also refuses to look at him, because Nathan knows Kanduu is only there because of HIM. Looking at him just reminds him that his own terrible decisions caused this.
He only starts to look up when Kanduu is facing the other way, and even then he still looks ashamed.
After Kanduu explains what his plans are for the spire/tower and all the people on it, Isaiah of course starts to tell him he's wrong. This causes Nathan to mouth the word "Don't" at Isaiah, indicating he doesn't want the kids standing up to him. Again, this could be another sign of him feeling guilty about everything, as well as being too fearful to do or say anything whilst Kanduu is there.
Once Kanduu is about to leave, he walks past Nathan who once again looks down ...
It's only when Kanduu says "Kill them" does Nathan look up at him, but even then he's hesitant.
Once Kanduu leaves, however, and Fifi comes in, Nathan suddenly picks up the courage to kill the undead vampire dog. He did not have that nerve when Kanduu was there. Apart from being ashamed, I personally think Nathan is also scared. He exhibits almost submissive behavior around Kanduu, and I think Kanduu may have threatened him or threatened to harm the kids if Nathan didn't keep his side of the deal. The deal being Kanduu would give Nathan an ending to his book so long as Nathan did not stop him from completing said ending (the ritual). Also, I really don't know why Kanduu didn't just kill the kids himself.
Kanduu = zero fucks given
Nathan: I miss Fifi! Kanduu: Who calls their dog that?! Nathan = starts tearing up Kanduu: -I bet she didn't even like that name! Nathan = sobs Kanduu: -And she couldn't stand you! Nathan: = cries louder Kanduu: -No wonder she ran out in front of that truck! Nathan = Wails
Kanduu: Kill them Nathan: - Kill them?! Kanduu: - I was talking to the dog I don't know why I found this so funny. Just the way he was so matter-of-fact about it XD
Episode 10 be like
The kids return to Port Lawrence to find Lucas, but in the process, they see a flustered Nathan Bratt running down the street looking like he's trying to find something ... or someone. Margot: Hi, Mr. Bratt, how's your book coming? Mr. Bratt: (Runs right past them) SORRY- CAN'T CHAT - MY ALTERNATE ENDING WENT WALKABOUT! Kids = O_o

They never brought Mahar back from the dead
I have come across a lot of people who don't actually understand what happened in that scene in episode 10 where the kids planned to bring Mahar back to confront Kanduu. The fact is, they NEVER brought him back. Kanduu was brought back because Mr. Bratt dug up his coffin and his soul returned to his body from Slappy. He WAS literally brought back to life. The kids and Mr. Bratt did not have time to go and find Mahar's body, in fact, he was probably buried somewhere else and nowhere near where they were. Instead, Margot or Mr. Bratt likely had to find a spell in Kanduu's book, and it ended up being the SAME spell that Kanduu used to turn people into living dummies. Much like how the spell made Kanduu appear to the kids as people they knew - such as Lucas' father, Margot's mother, etc - the spell caused Mr. Bratt to appear as Mahar, like an illusion. Mr. Bratt - pretending to be Mahar - stated that he made a mistake when he stopped Kanduu performing the ritual last time, and he stated this time he wants to fix his mistake. The kids protest, trying to stop him, but this is all an act, they know EXACTLY what is going on, and they're planning for this to happen. I also get the feeling that Kanduu knew all along they were using his magic against him here, even though he looked somewhat shocked at seeing Mahar again, I think he was sort of playing along too, because he knew the spell would not work on him. Also, it was not Kanduu's wish for Mahar to come back from the dead, rather it was simply his desire for Mahar to trust what he was doing was necessary.
HOW?! WHEN?! WHY?! ... WHAT?!
Ok, so something's been annoying me in regards to Kanduu's coffin. Ephraim first had some grave diggers dig it up when he was in NYC, right? But then, later, Ephraim ended up moving to Port Lawrence, which we can assume is a long way from the city, and possibly may not even be in the same State. What I find weird is this: Nathan did not have to go far to dig up Kanduu's coffin, so how the hell did his coffin get all the way from NYC to Port Lawrence? I know the guy is magic, but is he THAT magic that he can just make his coffin spontaneously appear wherever the hell he wants?! There is no way Nathan would have been able to take the coffin home in his car, the only car that can hold a coffin is a hearse, and we all know Nathan did not drive one of those. The other option he had was to tie the coffin to the roof of the car, but if he did that there's no way police wouldn't pull him over like "Wtf is this about?!" I mean, come on, it would be very sus to see a car carrying a 150-year-old coffin. I get shows and movies are gonna have plot holes but I hate when they're THIS obvious.
Angry is an understatement
Nathan: (Trying to act like nothing bad just happened) Heeey! You're back! James: Yeah, only cos Margot and Lucas are crap at relationships (Isabella hits him) James: Ow! Isabella: So, what's been going on here? Nathan: Oh! Haha! Well, you know ... not much. There, uh ... there MAY be a ... VERY angry British man getting around that you may have to, uh ... deal with, but uh ... I'm sure you'll cross that bridge when you come to it (Sweating) Kids: 🤨
