Felix was setting in well at For the Fairest, if he did say so himself. It was not like his job was super hard, considering he mostly just answered the phone and made sure that appointments were recorded properly and did not overlap, and his effervescent personality seemed to lend itself well to the work. Sure, he was not perfect, and he could be easily distracted, but he was doing his best, and Hera had not complained yet.
He even arrived early for work! He had been making sure to get on a schedule so that he would not forget, so he had multiple alarms set that directed him to the store just before Hera or whoever was opening the doors arrived. Today, however, he noticed that the lights inside hadn’t been turned off. And when he tried the door handle, the front door was unlocked.
He blinked, pausing a moment before creeping inside. “Hello? Hera?” He called, wondering if maybe she had arrived early for some reason. Did she have an early appointment? He couldn’t remember. However, he realized what was going on when he spotted one of the designers asleep on a couch at the back of the store, a dress laying on the ground beside her. He picked the garment up and looked around, spotting the empty mannequin nearby and slipping the dress onto it. Once that was done, he went over to the sleeping woman and gently touched her shoulder.
Oh no! What was her name? He was so bad with names, especially when it was people who he did not really know that well-- and although he had seen her around the shop before, she always looked so busy that he dared not distract her from her work and so they hadn’t really spoken. “Um? Miss Designer? You okay? Do you want me to make you a coffee?”
