Dosie scribbles on her tablet, showing the message to him. â it wasnât your fault⌠â
he reads the message his daughter shows him and then breathes out an almost helpless smile. âoh i know that, honey,â he says, signing the words along as he speaks them before he reaches out to run his hand gently over her hair, letting it rests in the back of her neck for a moment before he pulls back again to continue speaking.
âbut i still feel i should have informed you of the consequences of using your ability better.â he makes a face momentarily as he thinks about it. âthis isnât the first time something like this happened.â he thinks of every single one of his children who have lost the use of or simply lost their entire limbs and he thinks there should be a way to warn them off doing things that might risk it.
but then he also know his children will always be his children, and if the cause seems worth it enough to them, they will sacrifice whatever necessary to save the people they love. and no matter how much heâd love to claim that heâll be more than happy to revive whoever they want for them, he doesnât look forward to being linked to tens of people around the world. their mothers he would do it for no doubt, as well as perhaps any other siblings they may have or any possibly stepfathers they love, but other than that? he canât hardly keep half the world alive just because theyâre related to his children.
âanyway, i know you wouldnât change anything about what you did, iâm thinking more of the future,â he amends his words then, so dosie wonât think he disagrees with the choice she decided to make.
