I've been thinking a lot recently about thorki pregnancy but with Jotun biology, like if Loki laid eggs, but they were still connected via umbilical cord so they could get food to grow, and then once they reached a certain level of growth, they went back in to finish gestating. Just Loki sitting in a pile of furs on the bed from bears Thor has slain, holding a woven basket full of ice-water holding his little eggs. Thor sitting with him kissing him all over and making sure he's comfortable.
They look like frog eggs like this and are squishy but very tough and durable, and a greenish-blue color. When they're ready to be put back in, they turn a bright blue and glow in the dark. You can see the little fetuses kicking around in them if you shine a light up to it. When he lays the eggs, there's a whole patch of them, but as they get older only the biggest ones survive, so it makes a very difficult and stressful time for him, seeing his babies die off one by one, and towards the end of the external pregnancy, when they're ready to go back in, when there's 1-3 left, Loki's sobbing, worried they will die too. Thor holding him and putting the surviving eggs back in him, letting him cry on his shoulder.
Oviposition + Jotun Loki + Thorki fluffy domestic angst + mpreg I loveee
