Alec Soth - Gathered Leaves
Alec Soth exhibition at the science museum. The works covered a decade of work by Soth, all major projects that he has produced while travelling across America. My favourite work was âSomewhere to disappearâ, a project that Soth created showing the desolate and isolated areas he came across. I likes the composure and simplicity of the images, showing fine detail and attractive colours. When thinking about which methodology I believe fits in with this exhibition the best, I would say that the methodology of history suits the work of Soth. Sothâs documentary approach of photographic practice is one that records and encapsulates the scenes in which he discovers. His process of recording deems his images historical records of the places in which he has visited.
