āDepends, yā ever get horny durinā sunday school cause they got picturesāa tits posted all over the place?ā A motion towards a specific diagram at the far left of the board and Jonād not bothered to veil his grin. Heād seen worse⦠seen better, too. Stood to question what April was used to seeing during Mass (or whatever it was called). If it werenāt for the few times heād bothered to flip on a television at a friendās house, or, more daring, sneaking into a flick at the cinema, heād notāve even known as much as he did. Just as likely to find forgiveness as he was to catch fire, after all.
Three weeks⦠Itād been three weeks since that afternoon in the girlās bathroom, pressed in together and exchanging smoked reassurances. Three weeks since heād turned down her invitation to a football game after school because, fun as itād have been to watch the neanderthals plow each other into paste across the field, there was something too⦠much, there. Scrounging for the school spirit everyone already knew him not to have.
āāsides, wasnāt payinā that much attention, anyways. Heard they got sloppy joes for lunch⦠shouldnāt try anā tell us not tā fuck each other on empty stomachs.ā
Shouldnāt have tried to tell them at all. Everyone already knewā¦
Tell a teenager not to do something and theyāll want to do it even more.
Glance spared towards the clock, teeth working away at a split in his lip, another fifteen minutes meant theyād be left to mull over what they ālearnedā until the teacherād exhausted all her patience and let them loose upon the school, frustrated and starving for more than what was on the lunch menu. āYā ever wonder if they actually believe it? Like⦠tellinā us we might get bumps on our dicks is gonna stop us from puttinā āem into somethinā?ā Head turned towards April, a hand flurried an unspoken dismissal of specifics.
āYāknow what I meanā¦ā
April gave him a look like she didnāt know whether to laugh or admonish him. Te tip of her tongue caught between her teeth as she gave a little snort and shook her head. She was still trying to process the idea that Jon Moxley might not be the awful person that everyone made him out to be. Of course, there had to be glimmers of truth to the tales, those kinds of stories didnāt just come from nowhere. But April felt that there had to be some kind of exaggeration.
āI went to an all girls school before i came to this one. Very religious. Loooot of confused feelings there. Still see some of those girls on a Sunday. That does bring about some... Old feelings.ā
She smirked at her daring little admission. It wouldnāt really matter if Mox decided to tell people what she said. Everyone just assumed that cheerleaders had experimented with each other at some point. It was more amusing to her that she was the only one who hadnāt. Backstabbing bitches werenāt really her type.
āWhat about you? Ever got a hard on for the Holy Virgin? Or were you more of an Angel kinda guy?ā
Her tone teasing and she nudged him a little with her elbow. Wanting to get to know him better, but also not above a joke or two at his expense. April reckoned he could take it. He didnāt seem like the wilting flower kind. Unlike Daniel. God... That guy always took things so seriously. Maybe she didnāt miss him as much as she thought she did.
āSome of us can control ourselves.ā
A bright sunny grin and she stuck her tongue out at him. But then there was a pause as she thought about the question that had been burning on the tip of her tongue since she saw him.
āYou know.... I looked for you at the game... Couldnāt find you though...ā
