Finally watched Halloween. 1) It's weird seeing Jamie Lee Curtis that young. 2) I'd heard the music before, but, in context, that theme song is phenomenal. 3) I knew the trope of the final girl and sex being a death sentence in slasher films, but making the main character both less promiscuous than her friends, AND the most motherly/good with kids created some interesting Virgin Mary themes.

I saw the new Doctor Strange movie today, and I'm very pleasantly surprised to tell you that I thoroughly enjoyed it! I was surprised by much of what I saw. The producers took some real chances on the material. Oh, and the mid-credits scene surprised me AGAIN!

Okay, never ever watch Vivarium. It was simply awful. The premise and preview look cool, but hnnnnnnnnnng. I never say this about movies: that was 99 minutes wasted of my life. I personally would rather watch paint dry. It was just confusing and had no point to it at all. The end wasn’t satisfying either. Never watch it. :/

I have never been blue balled harder by a movie in my entire life. The Turning was a complete and utter mess. It literally just ends in the middle of the film with several scenes that were not elaborated on. It”s confusing and muddied.. perhaps the goal of the film was to make the viewer feel insane. It’s a incredibly bizarre ghost/ psychological thriller, that can only be further described as a choose your own shitty ending film. I can honestly say I would have loved to buy a ticket only to hear the outraged reactions in the theater. Wild people can produce these movies.
2/10 stars. Only watch if you want to be hilariously let down.
