Look at this doofus with a mouthful of babies! I really didn't want them to keep breeding but there's absolutely no stopping them without implementing jars (and the weather here is gonna be sub-zero this week, so not really an option). There's a big fish auction coming up here next month. Hopefully I can sell a few pairs!
Banggai Cardinalfish (Pterapogon kauderni) are native to calm, shallow reefs surrounding the Banggai Archipelago, Indonesia. However, they have been introduced to many other places as a consequence of trade in tropical fish. In this species, males will collect fertilised eggs in their mouths, and brood them until juveniles are ready to hatch.
