These guys love their Stendker discus pellets.
put those things away, you slut
Ok pretty sure I've identified all the new fish! List and more rambling below the cut
Total tally in the cichlid tank:
3 OB peacocks
1 blue dolphin moorii
1 male nyererei
5 red zebras
1 jewel cichlid
1 female venustus giraffe
1 red shoulder peacock
2 yellow labs (male and female pair)
1 yellow lab hybrid
2 golden Chinese algae eaters
1 female super red BNP
1 synodontis catfish, probably synodontis granulosus
Current task is getting new substrate in so I can redo the hardscape. I might try a few hardy plants but won't hold my breath on that.
Everyone seems to get along for the most part? The OBs get a little snippy with each other, especially the big one with the cloudy eye. And the hybrid lab is an asshole. But they've been living together for at least a few years and everyone looks fat and healthy so they're all holding their own I guess.
If you made it this far here's a fishy for your troubles (the blue dolphin, he really likes having his picture taken lol)
I don't have any of the hoses or intake/output hardware for the canister, not sure if it got lost in the shuffle or what? So had to order a kit with all that, should be here Monday hopefully. In the meantime I got the big aquaclear HOB filter running.
Ok onto the little fish from the bowfront:
3-4 kuhli loaches
1 botia loach
Like a dozen-ish ember tetras
Several mosquitofish!!! Yay
3 assorted cory cats
A few long fin leopard danios
Chicken Jockey the hybrid goldfish
The botia is going in my partner's loach tank, the mosquitofish are going straight in my backyard mini pond as soon as it's warm enough, and the corys are probably going in the work tank. Chicken Jockey has joined the two goldfish I got for my bday in a separate quarantine tub. The rest I'm planning to take to the LFS to see if I can get some store credit?
