Background

Ferrettail and Badgercrest, once alive, were unable to have Dark Kits of their own. So, they devised a plan.

Ferrettail tricked a she-cat into falling for him. Together, they had kits--and once they were weaned enough, he and his true mate, Badgercrest, killed her and took the kits to raise themselves.

They didn't kill in front of the kits, hiding them away. But perhaps one of the kits peaked out, curious or scared, and saw the deed.

Kit Days

Volekit whines for milk. Maybe they weren't fully weaned when they were taken from their bio mom

Shrewkit rolls her eyes at Mousekit, who cries at a small cut.

Ratkit asks Shrewkit if they will always be friends.

Ratkit defends Shrewkit.

Volekit worries that others find her annoying.

Apprentice Days

Ferret tells Shrew to always look after Vole.

Mousepaw prefers training alone, saying that working together is for the weak, and that Ferret is too stupid to see that. He says that he doesn't need anybody.

Ratpaw is sick with water in the lungs. While recovering, Shrewpaw makes sure to keep him updated on all the funny gossip. That is, until Ratpaw becomes unresponsive. Shrewpaw continues to stay close, hoping Ratpaw can feel her beside him.

Volepaw is learning about herbs so that she can help Ratpaw. Feeling better, Ratpaw asks her about it.

Mousepaw wonders if Badger is proud of him.

Shrewpaw struggles in training, and Ferret forces her to keep working until her muscles are almost too sore to move.

Afterwards, Ferret rewards her with two minnows.

Ratpaw recovered!

Mouseclaw was named first.

Mouseclaw yells at Ratpaw for putting thorns in his nest.

Shrewpaw feels hurt and ignored when Ferret brushes off her requests to train.

Shrew teases Rat.

Shrew is named Shrewshadow, and Rat is named Ratdusk. As a med cat, Volepaw is still training.

Shrew tells Badger that she hurt her, but Badger says 'oh big deal' and that she was only toughening Shrew up, so she has nothing to be sorry for. She tells Shrew to peddle her sob stories to someone else, as she doesn't want to hear it.

Airfeather - A curious and cheerful she-cat. Airfeather often gets distracted, she finds it hard to focus on anything, especially if it’s something she finds boring or tedious, so it isn’t uncommon for something else to attract her attention, whenever someone brings her attention back to the task at hand, she cheerfully apologises and tries to get back to work, but it might now be long before her attention is diverted again. Airfeather can’t help but want to investigate new things, and she will often make up fun names for things that she has found if no one knows what they are, and whenever it is something she can pick up, she takes it to a place where she keeps all the treasures she has found, 13/10

Leopardfern- A skilful and intelligent she-cat. Leopardfern is a loyal warrior, completely dedicated to her clan, and she wants to ensure her loyalty never gets called into question. Leopardfern has trained hard to become a graceful yet vicious warrior, spending moons mastering techniques, she wants to ensure that she is the most impressive warrior in her clan. Leopardfern is quick to pick up small details that might eventually be important, and is always sure to use them at the appropriate moment once her suspicions are confirmed, she will never state anything unless she is completely sure she is right, she hates being embarrassed, 15/10

Yellowjump- An energetic and determined tom. Yellowjump wants to be the best warrior he can be, so he will always do more than is expected of him, hardly ever taking a break, but he finds it fun, he likes to keep on his paws. Yellowjump will often be the first cat to volunteer to carry messages, he is extremely fast and he loves to hound through the territory and feeling the wind in his fur, its a good excuse to run without getting weird looks from his clanmates, 13/10

Tealnose - A gentle and thoughtful she-cat. Tealnose is a very comforting and motherly figure for many cats in her clan, she is a good listener and will often treat any distressed cats with the tenderness she would treat a kit, she is naturally trustworthy, and so cats will often confide her in with things that they have rarely or even ever spoken of. Tealnose always tries her best to help her clanmates and be there for them, and always deeply considers any current tensions and tries to find a solution with as little bloodshed involved as possible, she can’t bear the thought of any of her clanmates getting hurt, and whenever a clanmate does pass, she has gotten into the routine of planting flower seeds on their graves as a way to honour them, 14/10

Mouseclaw - An introverted and skilful tom. Mouseclaw is a little shy, he doesn’t really know what to say in a lot of situations so he often keeps his thoughts to himself, it is something he is trying hard to get better at, even if it can be a littler nerve racking for him at times. Mouseclaw is a swift and nimble warrior and he is highly respected for his skill, he gains a confidence when he is hunting or battling that is usually not seen in the nervous tom, he loves this rush of confidence but he gets highly embarrassed when cats praise him, 15/10
