First, my argument that Khaka Brud is a desert climate:

Long lived races leave the less inhabitable land for others

It’s more inland, so the rain-shadow effect comes into play (ex: Nevada)

Burrowing animals are most successful so the Dwarves, a race known for building down, did well there hence the extensive dungeon system

Desert adaptations that transfer well to halffoot design:

Smaller bodies have a larger surface area to volume ratio which is better for desert living

Large ears aid in cooling

Pale but thick fur to reflect heat (can translate to appear like there’s no body hair which seems to be canon for halffoots)

My case for Fennec Fox inspo being added into Chilchuck designs:

Looks r deceiving shitck (shout out to Zootopia lmao)

He has big ass dark round eyes which is not universal for all halffoots

He’s bigger than most halffoots, it’d be cool if the taller halffoots are Fox inspired while the average-smaller halffoots are Jeroba inspired

This can lead to a concept that the bigger, Fox-like halffoots who left their communities gained a reputation of being sly, cunning, thieves… which is pretty on the nose

Regardless of what animal chosen, mousechuck enjoyers should still give him little claws.
