Not related to what you're posting about right now but I just have some vague thoughts™ stewing in my brain about the character Zelda and waiting. In nearly all the games her role is to wait and there's something itching at me about that, though I have no idea what it is yet... In multiple games too it's her waiting and keeping evil at bay, her waiting keeps the evil at bay... It's an active waiting, an important waiting... I don't know where I'm going with this but I thought I'd share lol
Huhu ALWAYS here for some Zelda!!! Her waiting in her Princess Role TM can be so so interesting sometimes... I am thinking specifically of BotW, where the main plotline happens BEFORE she gets swept up in her Princess Waiting, and yet she is still waiting. The uncomfortable foreboding of those cutscenes is so good. Sure, she is going about her daily life, doing her best to prepare for the end of the world, but every single thing she does is colored by the knowledge that the end of the would could happen any second of any day. She doesn't know when, only that it will 100% happen. And then it happens and her official waiting time begins, but this time it is actually not as bad, because she finally has something tangible to do! The other shoe dropped! She can finally do something about it instead of stressing over it! Ohhhh waiting...
