Thousand Oaks motorcyclist dies in freak accident

On Saturday, February 28, 2015, at approximately 5:02 PM, a 49 year old male was riding a motorcycle at his business in Skyline Auto Center, North  Skyline Drive , attempting to load the motorcycle into a truck/trailer.

For unknown reasons, the rider was unable to load the motorcycle, and both he and the motorcycle struck the ground. The male motorcyclist suffered critical injuries and was transported to Los Robles Hospital for treatment. Several hours later, he succumbed to his injuries. At this time, he will not be identified pending notification of next of kin.

There are limited details as this incident is currently under investigation by the Thousand Oaks Police Department’s Traffic Bureau. Citizens who may have knowledge of the accident, are asked to call the Thousand Oaks Traffic Bureau at 805-494.8271.

We would also encourage motorcycle riders to be vigilant in their safe driving habits, and to always wear a motorcycle helmet, whether a driver or a passenger.

Motorcyclist killed in South Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, CA – A motorcyclist was fatally injured after slamming into a vehicle along Power Inn Road on Thursday.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist, later identified as 23-year-old Tyler S. Marshall, of Sacramento, was killed Thursday just before 3 p.m. when he collided with another vehicle as he was passing a big rig on Power Inn Road.
