This is old news by this point (I may have even made a post about it already), but I've really been wanting to show off the scrapped game that @mothkingeloth and I made for the Ynygme ARG, so... I made a little video presentation for those interested!

hi! bc of this blog ive decided to try out fallen london myself (i know very little of it)! im struggling to think up a character to play though. howd you come up with yours? do your characters build themselves out as the game goes? did you work with already existing characters?

as for characters, i wouldn't worry too much about having a fleshed out character going in-just choose whatever feels fun in the game & build around that! 😌 but for how i came up with my own:
twitch started off in sunless sea instead of FL, which is a. i don,t know what genre it is, wikipedia calls it a roguelike survival/exploration roleplaying game, but it's set in the FL universe
my only starting point with them was "choose the choices that i'm curious about, even when the game tells me it's bad" and built their character around what happened from there!
grace came from a couple combined ideas that 1: lost arctic expedition and 2: i need a lawful & nice character who would choose all of the options in FL that twitch wouldn't choose themselves
he was much, much harder to pin down than twitch. he developed so late that i've made a second account for him to replay his ambition & the early game with him as an actual character instead of a vague concept (no shame in doing it. i know Many people who start over bc they have an oc idea that developed later xD)
so tl;dr i didn't have a lot! the ideas were 99% developed just as the game went along. i really cannot understate how much i have been fully winging the creation of these ocs & making it up as i go. i'm sure other people have done different things but that's just what worked for me >:3
