“Hm, what to do with you…” as he circles a tied up Anakin and Obi-Wan
…Oh I know EXACTLY what to do
by moonlight (we remain true)
oh right I just remembered that I wrote an Obitine fic for my English final and I actually posted it on AO3!
literally the only thing I liked writing in the whole class so hope you'll check it out <3
by moonlight (we remain true) [5,345 words]
Obi-Wan and Satine end up vibing at Padme’s (big & fancy) birthday party after Satine had spoken to the Senate about maintaining Mandalore’s neutrality (basically Mandalore arc vibes except they meet on Coruscant instead). Obi-Wan is hit with all these Memories and realizes maybe the war isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. (also featuring bonus Anidala hiding their relationship terribly, mostly on Anakin’s part)
now for the ~official~ summary:
“The moon does not fight. It attacks no one. It does not worry. It does not try to crush others. It keeps to its course, but by its very nature, it gently influences. What other body could pull an entire ocean from shore to shore? The moon is faithful to its nature and its power is never diminished.” — Deng Ming-Dao
Obi-Wan and Satine meet again due to the political pressures of the war. Obi-Wan (naturally) remembers moments from their year on the run shaping their political ideals and their relationship, and comes to a realization.
