like, the point of the post in the first place was to be vague, so that anyone could interpret it however. the best part is after i called them out, they blatantly ignored everything i wrote. so it’s pretty obvious that their goal is just to antagonize people without any real probable cause.

Klaus and Damon both killed people and did a lot of unforgiveable thing, not to mention Damon even slept with Elena's mom. The difference, like I said is that for Caroline it was a one time thing to get it out of her system and Elena decided to spend her life with Damon, despite the fact that Damon abused pretty much all of Elena's friends and also killed some of them. Tbh if my friend started dating the guy that raped and abused me I'd shame her too but that's just me.
you didn’t get my point though, what i mean is that what caroline did, exactly for being a one time thing to get it out of her system, wasn’t worth it. besides the fact that damon didn’t rape caroline, i know damon has done HORRIBLE things, but he also has several redeeming qualities, at the core he’s a good person (we also have to acknowledge the fact that this is a show about vampires, common morality doesn’t really apply ALL the time), AND elena is IN LOVE with him. so much so that she literally went a little insane when he died. while klaus hasn’t done shit to redeem himself. he never apologized, he never tried to make it up, he even stabbed caroline what? twice? i don’t care. and the thing with caroline shaming her, isn’t that she called her out on sleeping with an awful person that abused her, she called her out on sleeping with a MANWHORE, she called her out on sleeping with someone that isn’t stefan. remember “say what you want about ripper stefan but at least he’s not a man slut”?????? what the FUCK is that?? caroline didn’t want elena to date damon not because he abused her, but because caroline wanted stefan for herself, and since stefan wanted elena, she thought elena had the obligation to want stefan back. and you can see it throughout season 3 and 4. caroline’s anger at damon’s treatment disappeared sometime during season 2 and it turned into slut-shaming for both elena and damon.

The difference is that she slept with Klaus once under the agreement that he leaves right after that. Elena chose to spend her life with Damon. There's a bit of a difference. Not to mention Tyler and Caroline were no longer dating when that happened.
how is that better? the fact that she slept with a person like klaus, who has an infinite list of unreedemable things he’s done, including killing the mother of and enslaving the guy caroline claimed to “love”, just because she was horny af, while elena decided to spend the rest of her life with damon because she’s genuinely in love with him. like... ??? listen, my problem is not caroline and klaus, they could get together and i wouldn’t feel a thing. but the problem comes when SHE shames ELENA for sleeping with damon, when she’s doing the same with a person that’s even WORSE and she hardly even likes the dude!! like what kind of hypocrisy.
