âThat is your choice to make,â Naeriel answered with a small smile, the smoke from her pipe rolling softly above their heads. The sky was dark, heavy clouds obscuring the stars that beckoned with their brilliance beyond the misty veil. âI myself was not there to see such events and tell the tale as it was once told to me. Still, if you would hear hobbits speak of it, it was the most valiant battle since the War of Wrath itself.â
A corner of her thin lips slant upward, briefly revealing the stained whites underneath. A chuckle is forthcoming. âEmbellishment is the sign of a good storyteller, is it not?â Another inhale is taken from the gold tip of her long thin pipe, filling her lungs with the fragrant smoke before adding it to the airâs haze above them. It felt good to be freely smoking with another elf for the habit is not widespread among them. âTell me more.â

âIt is,â the archer nodded, perched as she was atop one of the sturdier branches of the tree. The Sun had long fallen beyond the horizon, darkness encompassing the wide expanse of the forest and yet it was not of night that she thought while keeping her guard in the penumbra. The world itself was growing ever darker, fouler and worrisome, shadows stretching relentlessly across the land. Her homeland was but one of many being affected by it.Â
from here.
"Then we must not linger. The dark bids them haste, those things most pitiless upon these plains, and in those shadows of Mirkwood, it emboldens them further. Their trail leads east. That shall be our path." Sternly, then, amidst silence so smothering, the hiss of sheathed steel tore clear the night. Estel's dagger gleamed cold. And as the archer sat forebodingly upon the gnarled branches, the lord DĂşnadan, through moss and prickling thimble, toiled forth. They must stop those orcs! They'd little of choice.
"She is restless..." O, Taur-nu-Fuin-- "Something foul watches."
â That was an excellent shot. â The voice that cut through the aftermath was a jovial one, a young apostate leaning on his staff with seemingly no concerns about the bodies now sprouting arrows at his feet. â I was ready to offer my aid, but now I see you didnât need it. Well fought. â
Cool blog! :3 A Dragon Age verse question: what does your muse thinks of Solas and his plan?
The rumors hit her long before they reach the Inquisition, before the Inquisitor has a chance to discover for themselves. Whispers of a name reach her ears, hushed words in the darkness. Agents of FenâHarel; she learns who he is long before the Inquisitor makes their way to Halamshiral. She has lived long, centuries upon centuries stretching into millennia without end, whereas he has hidden, slept, blissfully unaware. She boasts not his contacts, his network - even not his words are able to reach so many - but hers are still numerous, elves and humans and dwarves, descendants of families who had once crossed her path. She learns his plans, learns what he wishes to do and for a moment, one shameful moment, she is gladdened. A way to restore what was, to be rid of the Veil, to return to the past. But then the implications rush over her like a bucket of cold water and she understands. And she hates him for it. Another world she wishes to destroy, another plan he gives no heed to the implications. He would once again destroy all she holds dear because he believes to know best. So she rails against his plans. She fights. Just as ages ago she had been on his side now she moves to the Inquisitorâs side, hoping to save the world.

I. ââ âââThis is how I die.â she whispers with her arm hiding her eyes, her head is tilted back ( she is sure that she will throw up if she is to tilt it downwards ). She had already quit trying to walk so she was now sitting on one of the chairs on the sofa of the lounge. Her fingers move to pinch her nose, she can feel Ariel next to her somewhere and consider she drank far less often than Maxima she wondered if the writer was holding herself âOk, maybe I can get up now.â and with that she is tries to move up, very, very slowly from the couch, eyes opening slowly and being blinded by the very soothing lights ( they had been soothing when they went in, what the fuck had changed? ) âNope, no, n-.â her legs immediately threatened to crumble so she sat back down âBad idea, shit. Shit. Shit.â taking a sharp breath and tilting her head back, she curses herself for ever thinking that this was a good idea. The numbness felt nice even if it felt like someone was constantly moving her stomach from one side to the other. If the universe could stop messing up with the floor, that would be great. Though, there were worse places for her to stay until her stomach stopped, the music was good âAriel send help, some beautiful people to watch over us should make this all better.â
II. ââ ââ She was not sure when did Ariel join her, she only knew that she had been at the bottle far before that point. It was not even two in the morning when she got the call from an italian number that she didnât recognize. After picking up and finishing the call nearly all in silence, still stunned from waking up with the blaring noise when she had training at five in the morning on the next day, she wished that she had simply ignored the call. Her relationship with her father had always been complicated to say the least. She knew she had been sick, that was the whole reason why they started talking again because her name would be the one written down to inherit the company. It sounded like a terrible idea, though she was good at it she would prefer to eat cockroaches before joining her half-siblings ad step-mother in Italy. A chill pass through her back making her drink the full contents of her cup before motioning to fill it again. She was not sure if the chill had been for the cockroaches or her siblings âI need to go to Italy, for a funeral.â her dark green eyes move to the drink and she sighs loudly, the long brown curls fall over her shoulders. She felt like in a few hours she would feel like death, and yet she didnât even care for it âI feel like I would prefer to swim the whole of the Atlantic Ocean there and back before going there. I would prefer to go up to the president and pepper spray them in the eyes, deal with the secret services than go.â her back turns to look over at the sofa where her laptop was somewhere âI need to buy the plane tickets, please make everyone believe that I died so I donât have to go.â
III. ââ ââ âOk, ok, ok, listen.â she takes a sharp breath, her eye rise over her own shoulder to the girl that was smiling at her with a half smile and a half empty glass waiting for her. Maximaâs attention returns to her flatmate, a large smile drawn on her lips âI need a huge favour from you, right now.â Arielâs eyes move to the woman that was drinking and then back at Maxima with the loudest frown, as in, if there was no music around Maxima was sure that she would turn deaf from it âShhh, no frowning dearest, you always look the most beautiful when you smile. Listen first.â she takes a short breath, her arm laces itself around Arielâs as she turns her in the direction of the girl with a bright smile and hushed words âI will owe you but if you could find another place for the night I would love you forever.â
IV. ââ ââ âSo in your book.â Maxima is laying on their coach, her head resting against the arm, her left hand has a full glass of wine while the other held a cigarette burning. This had become more or less of a tradition, having them both drinking ( and Maxima smoking ) while discussing her book. Mostly, Maxima just suggested shitty ideas and laughed at them with Ariel âWhat do they do for fun? I mean, they have to do something for fun right?â the silence coming from Ariel was telling, so much so that Maximaâs smile dropped only slightly. She muttered under her breath when she was forced to lift her head from the couch to be able to look at her properly âIf thereâs so much shit in their world there must be the same amount of fun, right?â her brow arched, cup taken to her lips ( the edge now completely covered in lipstick stains ) âRight?â her mouth turns into an âoâ while surprise spread through her face âYou monster!!! Do YOU NOT CARE FOR YOUR CHILDREN?!â Â
V. ââ ââ âAriel... ARIEL!â Maximaâs voice is sharp and exasperated. They had only been on the second cup of the wine ( it was the good type, gifted to Maxima on the last event that she attended, she was not sure who had told the man that that was the fastest way of getting her approval but she definitely not be drinking it with him ) when they sat to watch a movie. They were meant to watch âThe Roomâ and comment at how bad it was, if it was already so bad that it was good when they watched it sober, then it would be even better if they were drinking right? Clearly, work had taken too much of a toll on Ariel because as soon as she touched her head on the pillow. She even nearly tipped the wine if Maxima not grabbed it first âDear me, Ariel, if I knew you were this easy to get drunk I would have given you just a cider.â

Look at this cool blog. Hello new person I follow!
I.. try to not only read fantasy and historical novels, I really do, but Iâve never reached a point where I feel adult enough for Serious Adult Books, I havenât read a lot of these meaningful classics abt humanity or society and I donât want to, Iâm not particularly interested in romance, or most things that take place in our world, I have zero interest in crime books. My parents get a book magazine every month or so and the first thing I do when I see is to see how many male authors have written books about murders on young beautiful women ( w/ men solving them obviously ) and there are always several of them. I really donât get the thing about murder mysteries. Why are they so popular
So a better question would probably be what genres I do read, and well itâs not a lot
8. The book you read when youâre stuck in bed sick
If Iâme between books or the one I was reading felt too complicated or something, probably Harry Potter. One of the first. Theyâre easy to read and never get old.
12. Do you have to finish one book before you start the next one, or do you read multiple books at the same time?
I usually finish, last semester I experimented with having one in my flat and one in my room in my parentâs house because I switched a lot between them.. it worked but I didnât have anything to read on the bus so it wasnât the genius solution I hoped for.
