Moriarty/Master: A Fatal Reunion
Boring. Such a boring day. The Master sat in his office at Scottland Yard, sorting out case files. None of these cases were even the slightest bit interesting. Actually there were never any interesting cases. Humans were so boring. The only time a case got interesting was when it involved aliens. Aliens basically never happened on this planet, except for those weeping angels that somehow managed to get here just recently. And this was already close to a miracle, which he had exploited immediately by getting Sherlock Holmes involved to get information on the Doctor. He kept on sorting files when Lestrade bumped in, babbling something about the underground market and illegal happenings that needed to be pursued. The Master barely listened until the name "James Moriarty" came out of Lestrade's mouth, letting him freeze. James Moriarty. Apart from aliens he was the only thing that made cases interesting. Unfortunately his crimes were so perfectly done that they were almost never uncovered and thus never reached Scottland Yard. It was amazing to see what had become out of him, as it seemed like just yesterday when the Master had met him as an innocent boy. Most of the time he wasn't assigned to cases involving Moriarty, but this time he seemed to be lucky. Lestrade explained that they've somehow managed to get information on Moriarty's whereabouts and his recent machinations, involving the underground blackmarket. Jason Miller and his collegue Stinton were supposed to go there undercover to find out about Moriarty's location, then get reinforcement to capture him. In other words, they were the bait. Excellent. This was one of those rare times he found it really useful to be the one having to do "the dirty work". The Master agreed immediately, restraining himself from sounding overjoyed. He had purposely waited quite a long time to approach Moriarty, since there were a lot of things he had to take care of first, but now the time for a reunion had finally come. It would surely be a big surprise for Jim; what had been only one year for the Master had been nearly 20 years for him after all. Lestrade left the room, and all there was left to do for Jason Miller was to wait for the evening and think up a plan. He'd play along with being an undecover police seargant until reaching Moriarty. He just had to get rid of Stinton somehow, as well as hope that Jim would still recognize him at all and grasp the situation, otherwise things would turn out quite troublesome. He leaned back in his chair, a satisfied smile on his lips. Finally time for some fun.
