to be truthful , riley’s first thought when there was a tapping on her window at 1am was someone was coming to kill her , rather than the more mundane and sensible noah standing in her garden.   well , would a killer knock?   leaning against the windowsill once she’d opened the door , riley doesn’t resist the grin that tugs at her mouth.   voice is barely above a whisper when she speaks.   ❛ so you traipsed all the way over here in the dark? ❜

          𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈  𝒉𝒆  𝒘𝒂𝒔  𝒔𝒂𝒚𝒊𝒏𝒈  𝒘𝒂𝒔  𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒆𝒅  𝒂  𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚.  ❛  i  mean,  she  was  never  nice  to  me,  but  i  never  would’ve  wished  death  upon  her,  especially  not  like  that.  ❜  clearly  moving  to  lakewood  probably  wasn’t  the  best  idea,  but  her  and  jeremy  had  no  choice  considering  that’s  where  jenna  lived.  it  reminded  her  of  mystic  falls  in  a  lot  of  ways,  but  the  biggest  problem  bringing  death  to  mystic  falls  was  animal  attacks,  not  murders.  ❛  whoever  did  that  to  her...  i  really  hope  they  get  the  justice  they  deserve,  at  least  before  someone  tries  to  get  their  revenge.  ❜  unfortunately,  her  thoughts  were  too optimistic  compared  to  the  reckoning  that  was  about  to  fall  over  lakewood.

“Why not?” Lydia questioned, hand on the doorknob with the full intention of swinging it open no matter what Noah’s answer was. Her curiosity was at it’s peak and seeing how frazzle-dazzled the other got....it only encouraged her even more. “What’s out there? The Boogeyman? An axe murderer?” Strange how with each suggestion, more and more excitement filled her tone until she was actually creaking the door open a smidge and peering in to check the other side.

✞ ❛ i did a lot to survive.❜ words felt like poison in his mouth- passed mistakes ashamed of being brought back up into present and now being aired out, and soon he would have to tell the other actions he took to be rid of the nightmares that plague him- to finally be free from his own mind, though, he didn’t want it to happen like this, and not now. ❛...but i survived , and i’m here, and i’ll make sure we survive again. ❜ 

of course, these mistakes also gave him the a skillset that aided him even to this day- and with the prospect of being terrorized again , a knife wielding murderer hunting him down and now no way to easily escape- only choice to face problem head on- ❛ I survived far too long to be killed by something non-supernatural, noah.  ❜ he hasn’t died yet- and he doesn’t plan for that record to stop  anytime soon.
