Part 1 / Part 2
Lambie: Do me a solid and help me feel like a nice normal person!
Morgan: No wait what was that part about the god murdering-
Morgan's origin story! He was a cultist in the chaos cult, though Leshy was killed before his birth and the cult was godless. That didn't stop it from wrecking havoc.
When his sister was killed, he pretty much gave up on life and waited to be executed for dissension too. Lambie appears like a tornado at this point, murders everyone, and feels like teasing that one unmoving unarmed cultist left standing there. But it's not fun cutting depressed people.
I'm SO PROUD that I finished this, my attention span usually doesn't let me make this kind of comics, even sketchy. The first colored drawings are from MAY! It was there in my wips for months lol

big same, and the bummer is that i didn't fully Get It until i was older and she was in her late 90s and losing her memory :((( i grew up around this very quiet, proper british woman and her aforementioned cardigans and tea. she always put on her makeup and jewelry to sit with the family and tell us how proud she was of everything we did. she was born in 1900 and grew up very very poor in (near?) london, and our childhoods in southern california were a delight to her.
in my early teens, i started to learn more about how much her husband (my great grandfather) was an abusive drunk, and how she basically raised my grandfather on her own in los angeles during the great depression. she got pregnant around that time and had an abortion.
years later, she became a hit in those giant swing dance halls, and eventually won so many contests that they made her be a judge instead. somewhere around that time she must have been in the same circles as fred astaire because after she died we found an old invitation to his daughter's birthday party with a handwritten note on it. that was...pretty fucking cool.
after years in los angeles, she moved up to san francisco in the 1950s? 1960s? she drove a volkswagen beetle and she had an affair with a woman (she was still married to my great grandfather until he died in 1976). she also had a whole bunch of gay friends. my mom said she never thought anything of it when she'd visit as a little kid. those were just her grandma's friends and nobody blinked an eye.
eventually, she moved back down to southern california, so she was always around for family gatherings/holidays when i was growing up. but again, by the time i was really conscious, she was 80+ and quiet and serious and all dressed up and sipping from little tea cups. i learned a lot of the more "scandalous" stuff when i was in high school and she was in her 90s, so yeah, it was wild. anyway, she was fiercely independent and lived on her own until she was about 95 or 96, i think? and she died just before her 98th birthday
theres at least 2 people calling you biscuit in anons... i hope it spreads
think this is jay (sorry if it isn't) and that would be kind of funny. did i tell you all about the one time i went by oven for a couple weeks. that was fun. i liked that name
You should tell me some fun facts about your ocs....smiles sneetly
Huuuuuuh...
Lore dump under cut
Saleos is warrior, the Lamb convince him to join the cult when they found him gravely wounded one day, after meeting him again and again during his crusades. They both grew really attached to each other because they're both brutal and can relate with the bloody battles. And the kindness sometimes behind it. Lambie was sad to see him visibly age. So sweeping their first love was a big win. Being resurrected to a body without painful battle wounds was obviously a plus, so Saleos could fully appreciate his freaky eldritch new spouse.
He's the one Nari relaxes around first, because he's calm and respectful. The first time he goes "Oh." around the fox, is that time during a mission outside when he's a jerk and tries to monster scare him. Saleos has to calmly ask him to please not do that again, unless he wants to flirt, because that was really really hot and he wants him to know that for the communication to stay clear between them. "The Lamb spouses really are freaks" episode one.
Irene stabbed the Lamb a few times when she was a spy and after when she would jump them during their crusades to steal their stuff. Lambie found that very charming. It's a really hot game. Can't be mad at her. Saleos is dubitative about her, but agrees on the hot part. I talked already about how she pissed off absolutely everyone on the map, and ends up asking Lambie "Can I staaaaay, I'll be sooooo nice it's definitely not because you're the last person who somewhat tolerate me for some reason and I'll super duper pray for you god especially since you said he's hot" and that's spouse number two. She's a playful pain in the ass who easily rivals Leshy, but her chaos is more people oriented. She needs to steal just for the sport of it. The items are returned by Lambie anyway.
Nari falls for her because she's fearless and that's ridiculous why are they so immune to his anger. At least Saleos is respectful. Irene is riling him up on purpose, steals his scythe, invade his space and is ALSO turned on when he's trying to be scary. Wtf. But she's, again, fun and witty. And has a really, really nice butt. He has to admit that his vessel has good taste.
Thena is the laid back sarcastic ace auntie of the cult. She's the scribe and record keeper, helps organize sometimes but the other disciples do most of the cult managing. She likes her peace. She's the only one older than Lambie, the first one. She's precious because she managed to stay somewhat sane despite the centuries. Most people can't handle more than two or three resurrections before slowly losing their mind and their grip on life. She is vastly responsible for Morgan also keeping some semblance of sanity along the years. She can kick through his bullshit and bring some fun and levity, and some honest thoughts, where everyone else-even the Lamb- is sliding on his coat of calm and politeness. Well in the case of the Lamb he doesn't do it on purpose, he just can't help to put them on a pedestal and doesn't realize it's a detriment to both of them. Lambie desperately need as much people as possible being human and open and close to them. But Morgan is so stuck in his armor and his role as a dedicated servant that they can't break through that without a big risk of his right and fragile mental balance collapsing. Post Leshy, they do end up breaking through that and guess what, Morgan completely crashes down lol. I mean after even Nari was down and no longer a god he couldn't let go of this attitude cause the man would have to face the fact that he has no purpose anymore. No more gods to hate and bring down. Only sorrow. Morgan is a MESS. So he keeps the tailor workshop running non stop. Création is his only genuine joy. He made all the lamb's fleeces.

Has Morgan or Maryl ever died in front of Leshy mid conversation and did they tell Leshy about their heart problem in advance ?
Most heart problems aren't people suddenly dying in front of you thank god.
Got a bit carried away with lore down there
Leshy slowly ends up being the medic's snitch, because his ears and nose are crazy good, and he took the habit of telling Elona when people are sick without telling them first. Some people notice, seeing Leshy go and bother her for a while, thinking "I wonder who's sick this time"
Morgan does not tell him about his heart, because he was freshly resurrected before they added the god of chaos to the cult, and then freshly resurrected right after him and Leshy almost immediately killed each other (like you do) and his heart tends to get worse as his body ages. So he didn't think it was relevant.
Thing is, this lifetime is really harsh on Morgan's nerves. A major dark night of the soul. The man's been repressing things and lying for a few centuries, functioning on auto pilot, and is only now unpacking some of it. Hard conversations with the Lamb, with Thena, with Saleos and Irene, with Narinder even. With Leshy.
Facing the end of what he lived for too. "We won- I won. They're all dead, there's no Gods anymore. They're brought down for the Leader to play with. There's no one to kill anymore. No one to hate. No one to avenge. She would have hated the whole thing in the first place, I did all of that out of spite for myself. What do I do now. What's the point."
And then there's falling for Leshy, that's probably the one most scary thing that happened to him in his entire life. All his walls crumbling and complete panic.
And the last straw would be Lambie cornering him about his loyalty to them. Forcing him to think for himself, drop down the servant attitude for once, since they would value an honest friend more than a follower, however blindly loyal they are. Convincing him that they really need Leshy dead "Can you please kill him you said you would if I asked, I want Narinder's siblings dead after all" and see what happens. They know it's 50/50 chance of Morgan losing his mind, and he almost does. Almost.
But well, despite the Lamb talking him out of his spiral, and friends and Leshy calming him down day after day, that's still a complete breakdown of his whole system and that makes him speedrun the "die of heart failure" thing.
Which Leshy is INFURIATED about. Especially when the Lamb can't seem to bring him back. You killed him and now he's frozen between life and death because of your bullshit manipulation and your incompetence as a god.
But hey it ends well, wince Morgan immediately comes back of his own accord when he's told that Leshy lost half of his leaves out of sadness and looks like a crumpled little tree forgotten in the sun during a heatwave. The dumb worm man need kisses, that's a good enough reason to live.
I wrote some of it here
Hello! I hope you're feeling better about your tooth pain.
I have a question if its okay¿
Sorry if its been asled before but if Morgan hadnt ended up with Leshy, would he have ended up with another cult member or just stayed single?
My tooth is better! But a root is broken, it has to be extracted, which is as rejoicing as it sounds. It's the farthest back molar tho so it's not the worst.
It's always ok to ask questions!
Morgan is one of the oldest followers, he's a few centuries old (Lambie took some time slicing the bishops) but he cut off relationships out on his first lifetime. His main thing in life is "help the Lamb while they're steamrolling those fuckass gods" and not much else, except for his love for his craft.
He's got a very nice amount of loss trauma from his past, and never really got the hang of actually connecting with people. He settled in an acceptable social routine, smile, be nice, be kind, be useful. But the man is a poster child of emotional unavailability and while he rolled with people wanting to date him because why not everyone does it, he got yelled at and dumped a bunch. Which is a loss of energy and time, so he started turning every romantic attempt off.
Now dude's also pretty horny, BUT just like dating, fucking around is too much trouble and drama. And then the resurrections started piling on, and the experience difference with passing people who all felt so young to him cemented his disconnect with the regular cultists. He hangs in without going crazy for so long because he lets steam out through violence during crusades.
What I'm saying is, local hot dude is repressed as fuck and would have clung to loneliness forever if a chaotic nightmare didn't completely destroy his whole calm and collected shtick in record time. By breaching through his facade, Leshy got some authentic behavior and reactions out of him. What started with a murder frenzy ended up being a rare relationship in which Morgan let's himself completely off the hook. It was only Thena before that.
Do people get jealous that Maryl gets brought back often by the lamb and is that why that unnamed dog was mean to Maryl
It's hard to be jealous of Maryl but some do, a bit. "My son wasn't resurrected, even if he was so kind too, Maryl has no outstanding use or status that justifies immortality. Why him?" The dog was mean to Maryl because it's easy to push him around without consequences. Most people like him, but some don't even realize their behavior is bad because he's so bad at boundaries.
Morgan has the same jealousy thing happening. But he deconnected from people a long time ago. It was incredibly hard for him to form close relationships before, and after resurrection he completely stopped even trying. He has Thena, he has the Lamb tho he's also distant because he keeps him on a pedestal as the Leader. Even Saleos and Irene are treated with respect and a bit of distance because they're the Lamb's spouses.
What I'm saying is that Morgan is incredibly dysfunctional, has one (1) purpose on life and it's to make beautiful and useful things for the Lamb who saved him, and followers being jealous is not even a blip in his radar. And Thena is trying to pry some common sense and emotional health out of him sometimes. Carefully. Her and the Lamb know that changing Morgan's way of life might make him collapse completely lol
