Mars is his bodyguard/secret romantic partner (or, well, was) who he left behind to (not purposefully) be locked up under the suspicion of having helped him and others on a plan to overthrow their kingdom's queen. Whilst they did spend a long time super mad and bitter at him after being lied to and left behind, Mars still harbored love toward Rain; sometime after Rain came back and was thrown in a cell and he testified in favor of Mars being completely innocent, they slowly started to make an habit of visiting him and just talking, even if he didn't reply out of guilt for what he did.

Later half of the song: During these talks, Mars sometimes jokes about breaking him out and escaping together, but they're only jokes, as they do respect and admire Rain's choice of coming back despite knowing what punishment could possibly be awaiting him.

the song is pretty much about how, after falling in love, the singer feels like she can't do anything to ignore the subject of her affection and the feelings they bring, which I associate with Mars whilst they're grappling with falling in love with Nicky and just,, feeling super out of sorts: despite their past fantasies of being in a romantic relationship, they aren't the type to catch feelings easily, so when they start falling for him (and doing it fast and hard), it just gives her whiplash lol, and tries so very hard to resist

About you - Caravan Palace

I <3 Caravan Palace, esp their album Chronologic, which this song belongs to; it's electro swing!

Again, Mars grappling with their feelings but now starting to accept them, and Nicky playfully teasing her but also trying to show that his feelings/interest in them are genuine

Let's do it (Let's Fall in Love) - Ella Fitzgerald

This one was actually used as background music for Nicky's route!

It's such a fun, lovey-dovey song, I feel like it perfectly encapsulates who Mars and Nicky are at their very core: two hopeless romantics/goofballs

for a little bit of context: In a very far future, Morgan and their siblings were created to aid N.eoth in re-conquering and expanding the Im.perium of Mankind, which laid shattered across the galaxy after a huge cataclysmic event

'First flight' feels like standing at the edge of something far greater than yourself, whilst being caught in-between rising to further heights or falling to your demise, which is pretty much Morgan's life throughout the 30k millenium lol

There's just so much weight on their shoulders, and the price of failing in their task is a bloody one

(Dunno if you're planning on listening to any of these, but if you do, please do not listen to this one at a very high volume/with headphones!!)

In Morgan's universe exists the W.arp, a dimension where beings beyond mortal comprehension live. For the most part, It's separated from the material world, but things sometimes manage to seep in through the cracks (locations where the connection to the W.arp is stronger, people possesed by a being from the W.arp acting as a conduit, etc.)

When I listen to this song, I imagine Morgan's first ever encounter with one of these beings; they were created to be able to better withstand psychic attacks and attempts of possesion unlike the average human, so they can somewhat handle themselves on that side. Physical attacks, on the other hand... (hey, there's only so much you can do when a daemon throws a giant fireball at you)

very bad, very scary, very confusing, 0/10 would not recommend :/

'K, so, context: at some point Morgan got too silly goofy and fucked up big time, which resulted in N.eoth ordering one of their siblings and his go-to executioner, L.eman, to kill them (without Morgan's prior knowledge)

this is one of the most otherwordly songs ive heard; its so eerie, and as it goes on the lyrics and rhythm change from realization to utter panic, similarly to Morgan's reaction when confronted by Leman, who at that point weren't in the best terms with, but still hadn't expected for him to come kill them

Ok so, not only did N.eoth order for Morgan to be killed, he also gave them the 'Damnatio Memoriae', where it's ordered that any record of someone (writing, sculptures, paintings, etc.) is to be destroyed, with the addition that the population that was aware of Morgan's existence had their mind's wiped of any trace of their persona

Morgan's siblings were all excempt of this, with the exception of D.orn and Guil, who asked to have their memories of Morgan blocked (N.eoth gave the ones that were closest to Morgan a fake reason for their death in order to avoid an uprising from them)

So yeah, Morgan basically, technically doesn't exist anymore in the eyes of the Imperium:]

I freaking love this song so muchhhh

(Morgan has been dead for a while at this point) I associate this song with a very specific point in the 30k timeline, where Morgan's siblings all split and picked one of two sides in a war to fight over the control of N.eoth's empire

It's a very stressful period of time marked by confusion, distrust and treachery, so i feel that the lyrics and urgent/energetic rythm of the song's chorus reflects that well:

"There! There!

The marks are spreading everywhere

There! There!

Disciples of the Evil One"

I associate the bridge very strongly with a pivotal moment of Mag.nus' life, which happens a little before the conflict mentioned above:

"We're plowing through the seals

Like there is no tomorrow to be seen

As if the falling sky is nothing but an ancient dream

And when the Sun eclipses

It's just abracadabra, some hocus pocus sham

Here they come, here they come, here they come"

For the first couple of years Neoth was a lot more touchy, carrying Morgan in his arms practically all the time whilst they were still small enough, rarely leaving them out of his sight, if ever

This is because Morgan's brothers were kidnapped (yep, aaaaall of them) by the gods of chaos who, wanting to slow down Neoth's plan, threw them and their capsules through a portal that sent them to different far away points in the galaxy (and time)

But the gods left Morgan with Neoth for shits and giggles (no but fr)

Anyway, after he was confident that they wouldn't reappear and take Morgan away too, Neoth began to distance himself. I hc that he's naturally not very physically affective, which is heightened by him making a conscious effort to not grow emotionally attached to Morgan, in case he had to dispose of them. Maybe a pat on the shoulder here and there when they pleased him/exceeded his expectations, and whatever contact they had during spars

Even then, he remained observant and vigilant, only this time, about Morgan's growth, meticulously grooming them as one of his generals, cultivating in them a deep devotion and blind trust in him as a mentor that should've prevented anything but their obedience toward him (keyword: should've)

As time passed, he let them roam more freely around the Palace of Terra, though they could always feel the eyes of the Custodes (Neoth's other creations), and a steady incorporeal presence following them.

Morgan grew up to be rather touchstarved, which makes Horus kinda the perfect brother to have been discovered and brought back 1st, because he's not only super charismatic and able to work around the walls Morgan's been unconciously building around themselves, but also because he's very physically affectionate
