🧡 This will be my 6th year supporting @cycleforsurvival ! This nationwide series of events (in collaboration w @equinox ) works to engage the community in raising funds for rare cancer research. Despite the term “rare,” many of these diseases are well known. This includes all pediatric cancers, ovarian, pancreatic and brain cancers, leukemia, lymphoma, etc - and research for these “rare” diseases is vastly underfunded. Having worked at @sloankettering for 5+ years alongside incredibly brilliant and dedicated staff and having several members of my family diagnosed with/treated for “rare” cancers - I can’t imagine a more perfect effort to support. Any and all donations make a difference - tap the link in the bio for more info 🔗 • • • If you’re in the city - join my team TONIGHT at Jameson’s on 2nd Ave for a Fundraising Happy Hour - what better way to spend #humpday than at a happy hour where you can win a cash prize and/or drink to donate? Shenanigans start at 6 and I hope to see some familiar faces there! 🍻💵🤗 • • • •#cycleforsurvival #supportscience #morescience #lessfear #happyhour #nyc #equinox #msk (at Jamesons Bar and Kitchen) https://www.instagram.com/p/B9CcbzNHr-C/?igshid=1x0du2uxr75rf

Finally the molten metal is poured into a mould. It's best to pour vertically like this so the gold has the least amount of contact with the air to avoid cracking. #morescience #moltenmetal #moltengold #whitegold #adelaiderings (at EverettBrookes Jewellers)
In science buoyancy, is an upward force exerted by a fluid that opposes the weight of an immersed object. In a column of fluid, pressure increases with depth as a result of the weight of the overlying fluid. Thus the pressure at the bottom of a column of fluid is greater than at the top of the column. Similarly, the pressure at the bottom of an object submerged in a fluid is greater than at the top of the object. This pressure difference results in a net upwards force on the object.

~50% of people with cancer are fighting a "rare" cancer. This includes brain, pancreatic, ovarian, thyroid, and stomach cancers; leukemia and lymphoma; all pediatric cancers; and many others. Treatment options for these cancers are extremely limited and incredibly underfunded. I'm riding to change that; I choose to ride with Cycle for Survival because I am deeply invested in and am extremely passionate about working towards a world without cancer. Support my ride and join the battle by donating today!

Three years ago, a survey team identified a staggering 569,148 time-based media objects on the Bloomington campus of Indiana University—that’s over half a million sound recordings, video recordings...
Alright, so this is straight out of science fiction. Apparently there's software out there somewhere that can extract audio from a visual source. This basically means we have the potential to listen to songs and musical pieces that were once thought extinct, and only exist in pictures and writing. Science Rules!
