Holidays were spent with loved ones and sweet friends. Beautiful memories were made and my heart is so grateful. . Looking ahead at this new year my lungs exhaled hard. Child number 2 will be graduating high school and starting off on new adventures. So excited for him! But that will bring many, many changes to our lives. No longer will we be rushing to Friday night games, traveling all over the state for football, basketball, track and baseball...cheering our hearts out. . Which leads me to what is coming. I’m choosing joy. And gratefulness. And peace. . My word for the year is “Present”. I will be present. I prayed and contemplated hard for this word. I will be truly present for my husband and ALL of my children. I will show up and work on my self care so that I can be present through all of the changes coming and be the mama and wife they need me to be. . I’m not sure how this will play out, but I’m looking forward to truly living each day. Each time I say “YES”, I’m saying “NO” to something else.
