firstly i’d like to apologise for the dry (and late) response i’m about to give 😭 i’ve fallen incredibly sick so i’ve been super duper inactive, this message was sent around the 23rd of june, and i’m here responding a whole month later than that :( sorryyy

on top of the horrible british heatwave, i’m super sick, and one thing about my immune system is that it cannot fight even the commonest cold for SHIT. my white blood cells stand like this 🧍🏽‍♀️ any time it detects a foreign pathogen. so while i was supposed to be writing and releasing a new chapter every 10 days, i’ve just been bed-ridden and looking raggedy and homeless ☹️

i’ve been so inactive bc of wedding shenanigans (not mine, obviously 😭 already mrs gojo so now i’ve got vow renewals in about 7 years) and other things just getting in the way of my writing process, so apologies for that (and sorry for addressing all this under your message, ml <3)

i enjoy writing jealous megumi as much as you enjoy reading him 😭 your rage with him is so valid, ‘cause i wanted to replicate the rage everyone had with him during the jjk-leak era 💀 obviously less aggressive, and we can appreciate the fact that he’s young and dumb here in this verse :)

if that’s really the case (tho i highly doubt it, bc everyone that has come on here saying ‘my art is ass’ have ALL produced such MASTERPIECES, they belong in museums fr) i would be just as happy (if not even moreee happy) if you’d just draw their scenery. one thing i pride myself on especially for this fic is the world building, and while i have a specific idea for the way their setting is, i’d love to see how you as the reader picture it!

Wednesday is in danger

Either from the monster or someone else

Tyler and Xavier are USELESS

Why? Cause I said so

By this point

Wenclair are friends

Maybe not super close

But Enid has warmed up to Wednesday and all her 'weirdness'

And Wednesday has at least not threatened the girl in 48 hours

So they're friends

Somehow Enid knows Wednesday is in danger

She was there, the boys go get her, she hears Wednesday yell, whatever the case may be

Her heart hammers painfully against her ribs

Legs are burning as she sprints down the road

The tears start to build as emotions fill her

She thinks of all the other bodies

How mangled they were

Just to even imagine Wednesday like that

Makes her want to vomit

She makes it just in time

And Wednesday admires the bravery

But she knows Enid can't transform

She only has those silly "claws"

Wednesday's own nails are sharper

Death has never scared her

So she welcomes what is about to come

And Enid knows this

She knows that Wednesday doesn't care

Doesn't care that her family will miss her

Her friends will miss her

That Enid will miss her

So it happens

Enid starts to transform just as the monster goes for Wednesday

Enid body checks the monster and it goes flying

The transformation HURTS

Her claws used to hurt but she's done it so much she's built a tolerance

Bones snapping and re-shaping, muscle growing, skin stretching and tearing, fur pushing through

Her screams morphing into piercing howls

Wednesday is beyond fascinated

The horrors of it

She just can't look away

But

She can also feel the tug of concern in her chest

She doesn't like hearing Enid cry or scream

It doesn't bring a smile to her face like when other people do

And that bothers her

But it is soon replaced once Enid lays a smack down against the monster

It's not perfect

Enid gets thrown and hurt

But it's enough to run off the monster

And Wednesday feels
