evie hurries to answer the door, ushering her friend inside. "thanks for coming. it's an emergency. what do you even wear on a date?" never mind that she's never been on one at all !!

"i seen your eyes on me the entire night.. you going to do something or keep me waiting?"

"can we have a night where we're not constantly arguing? i was out with friends!"

"wait are you..." he paused, eyebrows pulled together, a smile on his lips, "are you trying to argue with me? sorry, no, that's, sorry that was just adorable. i hadn't seen you mad before."

"Anything to eat around here?" He opened the cupboards as though the place was his own. "—And then, and then," Cadu continued. "She called me an asshole. Can you believe that?"

"I never wanted to hurt ya, alright? 'm sorry. Just, just tell me how to fix this, and I'll do it."

all she wants is a moment to herself, exhaustion filling her bones like it's convinced it belongs there. being set-up with every eligble bachelor within a hundred mile radius was tiring and the princess was more than worn out. all they ever had in common was their wealth and status and unfortunately for her father, juliana wasn't convinced that it was enough - too stubborn to back down, too romantic to ever settle. her gaze flickers towards the door and spots a sillohuette, causing her to jump - almost out of her skin. "oh my god!" cue the surprised laugh, throwing the other a gentle smile. there's a warmth to it, solely reserved for them - and perhaps her siblings. "you haven't been told to find me and pry me back out there have you?" eyes are pleading, though the corners of her mouth remain upturned; comfortable within their presence.

"no, it's a really nice costume, i am just unsure as to what you are supposed to be." juno frowned, brow furrowed. she used to love halloween, but now it just put her on edge. she wanted to be supportive, even if she had no idea what they were dressed as. @morangcs
