As the title implies, this is an independent digital musical theatre project. Inspired by Epic, the idea is to create a narrative journey told entirely through musical-styled songs. I get to tell the story I want with the music I want to create, and I can only hope you'll join me on this ride :) Everything in this blogpost and beyond is subject to change. I'm still in the ideation and planning process, and anticipate this whole thing will take years to fully get off the ground if it goes anywhere at all.

Anyway, that's all out of the way. What's the idea?

Pschyagogue: A Digital Musical

(working title) is a coming of age story about a sensitive boy named Morvic. After the love of his life dies in a tragic accident, he decides to venture into the Realm of Shades in order to bring her back by any means necessary. His encounters and experiences along the way force him to confront the true nature of his journey. What is he really doing? And why is he really doing it? (/UtenaVoice: "But was that really such a good idea?")

I'll talk in more detail about specific inspirations some other time, but at least for now I'll say that the four big ones that come to mind are Epic: The Musical, Victor Frankenstein, Orpheus, and this Magic: The Gathering card.
