And he wasn’t really sure what to do with the situation or the information. 

He was neither drunk enough to ignore it fully nor sober enough to know how to deal with it, so he simply sat there with the glass half full in his hand, wondering if she’d say something more. When she didn’t, he started to panic slightly.

 Laughing it off far too later as his lame attempt as a reply. He had managed to get up and walk over to the sliding balcony doors, hoping that a bit of the cool night air would help with the flush that was covering and warming his skin. And his inability to continue a simple conversation.
