HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY

Happy mother's day everyone. I hope yours is better than mine. The older I am, the ore I realize how ruined my family life is and that I don't live near my family anymore and how unfortunate is relationship with my mom is. She is alive, I visit her and my family twice a year, but I wish things would e better. My mom never understood me, my dreams, being artist or my weird ideas. I would get over it, but she disappointed me many times in my life. She is not person I can be proud of and it just doesn’t get better, probably never will. I love her as my mother, but just can’t bring myself to look at her as someone I would want to be or be proud of. She is not evil, she made sacrifices for me and my siblings, but she is weak. I wish she was stronger, but that’s not happening. For this reason, Mother’s day is a bitter reminder of my troubled past and the fact that some things just don’t change. I hope you all have loving mothers who support you and they have a great relationship with you. Be grateful for that, because there are people like me that don’t have luck.

Oh god the exams are here, oh god, the time of the year is here again and sadly it's not second Christmas. I draw when I study, it helps me to be focused and relax, and I wanted to draw Chappie, Chappie with Deon to be exact. I never really bother to draw Deon as Scout, because those robots are so time consuming to draw and i used to swear a lot by drawing them, but I think I'm getting a grip. My comic style is sruely looking good at them.

This pic has quite a sentima lvalue to me, because I mention in stories so often that Chappie stays with Deon during nights. He is a robot, he doesn't sleep, but Deon is practically still a human, his mind was not created like Chappie's one. So he sleeps and sometimes has some nasty nightmares, so Chappie hangs around during the night. I just find it as a very sweet concept that he looks over his father like this. He is doing it even in the current state of story, because he is just used to be with Deon at night. Sweet.

I know the anniversary was two days ago, but I didn’t have time to finish the pic earlier. Big thanks to everyone who came on stream, it was fun. Anyway, the comic is now two years old, which is quite the time. I want to thank you all for all the support, favorites and comments you give me. I always love to read all your comments on new comic pages and art, even though I don’t answer to everyone, I love to read them. I’m glad this story makes so many people happy and you find enjoyment in these characters. I feel much more happiness when I work on this than when I used to work on TFP Ponies. This is the first comic where I feel I am doing it right. On stream, I said I have already another plans for future. I want to work on Summer night for some years, because there are many stories to tell, but I also want to start something of my own. My own world with my own rules, but don’t worry we won’t say goodbye to these characters. I want to take them there. However, that won’t happen for some time, since I am still planning out things and first designs.

These two years really taught me about drawing, storytelling, character design and building them up. That is also why I want to start something of my own in the future. I hope the comic will run for long years and we will have much more fun with Deon, Chappie and others.
