The Moonmorial
"My son is dead because of you, superfreak!"
"I'm sorry that happened to your son, Mrs Weathers. He was a great boy, a hero." General Moon replied, trying to keep calm in the face of the truth.
"Your kid would have died soon anyway! He was a piece of shit!" Candi shouted across to Mrs Weathers outside the memorial for Seth.
General Moon spun around, stalking several steps to the dark haired girl with the terribly deep eyes. "You don't say that kind of shit, Candi. Apologise to her, right now."
Candi raised her voice, so everyone would hear. "SHE'S RIGHT, YOU KNOW. YOU'RE THE REASON THAT HE'S DEAD."
Moon nearly snapped, right then and there. He lifted a foot off the ground, his veins lighting up with silvery power as he reached for the seemingly limitless well of his power. "You take that back, right now, or I swear I'll turn you into so much moondust."
The world shifted, as though reflected in a curved mirror, and a purple eye formed, open upon Candi's brow. "Come on, then."
